Datsyuk signs 7 years deal

The Detroit Red Wings announced Friday that they have signed star forward Pavel Datsyuk to a seven-year contract extention.
Sources have told TSN that Datsyuk will earn between $6 and 7 million a season.
Good deal for Detroit

Potentially great deal for Detroit. I'm going to hold off on being completely enthusiastic until I see how he performs this post-season, but I'm pretty pleased.

Wow, 7 years! Hey, he is a great young talent, i am perfectly fine with this. In fact im very very happy with this.

Wonderful deal for the Red Wings. It would be great to see him have a spectacular post-season, but Detroit needed to get a deal done for him that was long-term and they did so I am thankful for that. Datsyuk sure is an exciting kid to watch anytime you turn on a hockey game.

Would have wanted to see what he could do in the playoff's before giving him this long of a contract ext.
Overall a good deal for Detroit, just hope we can resign Bertuzzi as well.

To echo what everyone else has said, this is a pretty good deal for a guy like Datsyuk. Now that he at least turned up for the Playoffs this year, I'm feeling even better about the deal.
