Yeah I agree, 5 for a 20-20 guy is a bit much. Would have liked to see that money used on a goalie

i think he is a good hockey player, provides goals and some grit on the ice, and its not bad to lock up a guy who was supposed to be a good nhler when drafted, now all we need is a solid goalie, who isnt 50yrs old, and another big hitter and we'll good

who Jimmy Howard? He played some games this season and through out his short career. I think we need a vetern now who isn't like 40+ years old.

Im assuming that guy is Osgood. Didnt he get an extension? Next year I hope Howard starts with Osgood backing him up and playing regularly, like it is now.

Osgood got a 3 year ext that pays him $1.7 next year, $1.45 the year after that and $1.1 in his final year.

If anybody wants a NHL salary site http://www.nhlnumbers.com/ is a great one

It wouldn't shock me at all to see Howard either starting or backing up Ozzie next season. He's played a few games and looks OK, and he has the talent to be a great goalie.

Hasek will not be back next year. Nor will there be a star goalie. We have space in 2 years to target Ryan Miller and it looks like he is our guy and Buffalo can't match what we will give him. MAS (member on here) told me that.

I mean Emery could be a Wing but I doubt he is a Kenny Holland guy
