Because a thread for every game just isn't practical for a fanbase of this size. Here you can also see the season schedule for the Edmonton Oilers, and what networks they will be broadcasted on.

Good game I was so disapointed at the Surray Penalty but thank godness for the shootout win although very lucky goal.

So have you changed your mind about keeping Gagner and Cogs They seemed to make a pretty big impact and MacT hinted about giving Gagner more mintues. So i am going to assume he has impressed every one enough for a roster spot

I was always for keeping Cogliano on the team, and, after looking over the roster, there's no real competition that will take Gagner's spot either and force him off the roster when injured players come back. (Tyler Spurgeon is on the team? Really?) If Gagner continues to prove himself for the first few games, then you may as well keep him on, provided his spot isn't just going to be taken by Moreau or Pisani as they come back.

Have to say I like the look of this team right now. The team was just flying out there at times (especially Hemsky-Horcoff-Penner, extra emphasis on Hemsky) and its certainly nice to see some speed injected back into the Oil. Souray has a cannon from the point (and MAB-like accuracy) and Pitkanen is a skilled puck-handler with very nice passing vision. I really like Geoff Sanderson too, he could be a good underrated pickup for the checking lines.

Obligatory "Congrats to Cogs" post. Absolutely obscene pass by Pitkanen to set him up

So wow are power play is disgusting the team looks worse and worse now. Hemsky got to start takin shots on the power play. Nothing seems to work i really liked the two sniperss ( stoll Surray) but we got such poor movement that they never had a clear shot.

hopefully on thursday things change. i predict a close win 3-2ish

I'm gonna wait a little while (at least ten games) before overreacting, but if this current trend continues, MacT is as good as gone. His good will from the 2006 run is nearly gone, and Kevin Lowe has his armistice already. MacTavish is the obvious (and possibly deserving) scapegoat for another season of failure and its not like he's ever lead the Oil anywhere in the regular season.

Looks like injuries are starting to get in the way of what could have been an absolutely mediocre team. I guess that's just wasted potential now.

*Sigh*

A win! Party down! Edmonton is now 4-1 in shootout competitions. So if we just play overly complacent and defensive from the beginning of the game and make sure not to let up any bad goals, then maybe the Oilers can move into that ever-crucial 9-10 spot range. So long as Garon continues to play out of his mind, that is.

Raffi Torres fun fact:
Raffi Ranks: 25th in the NHL for shots/game at 3.4/game
Raffi Ranks: 388th in the NHL for Shooting% at 5.2%

I'm so glad he's getting 1st line minutes.
