Islanders Claim Schremp off Waivers

Rob Schremp is on the move to the New York Islanders, after the club put in a waiver claim on the forward.

Schremp did not make the Oilers and was ticketed for Springfield of the American League, but this was the first year he was required to clear waivers to be sent down.

Sources say the Isles want to give the prolific junior scoring star a chance to play.

Looks like he's finally going to get a shot to play. The guys got a ton of skill on offense but is basically a pillion on defense and his skating isn't so great. Its going to be interesting to see what he can do in NY. With our luck turn into a solid player and score 20 goals.

I think so lol. I guess we'll find out if all the hype about him is just hype or whether he's actually an NHL player.
