Cammy is gone, but I didn't like his inconsistent play or the way he was negotiating for a giant payday he's quite frankly has only shown glimpses of being worth. I would gladly trade him for a shutdown defender and we got a big nasty shadow who evidently lives to shutdown the other teams best guy. We will still have Anze, Frolov, O'sullivan, and Brown and plenty of players who can score and just had down seasons last year like Nagy.
also of not for the kings:
One of the day's more intriguing picks came in the sixth round, when the Kings chose Justin Azevedo, a center listed at 5-foot-7 or 5-8. Azevedo was available late, in part, because of his size and because, at age 20, he often played junior hockey against kids two or three years his junior.
But last season, Azevedo was named the most outstanding player in the Ontario Hockey League, a league that includes 2008 top pick Steven Stamkos. Acevedo had 124 points while playing for Kitchener.

In the second round we got a Russian defenseman in Vjateslav Voinov that was well thought of but scared off first round suitors on suspicion that he would not leave his Russian contract. Lombardi dissmissed this, saying they had done there homework and he will come over. Voinov is described as one of the main agitators in the draft- and in your face- never say die type who needs to work on first step explosion and needs experience.
Back to Drew Doughty-
Soooo awesome how badly he wanted to be a King since he was a kid and that he ended up here.
