Hossa is getting shopped around, and naturally the Habs have been showing some interest. Assuming that he would re-sign with us, who would you be willing to give up?

I am a pretty big Hossa fan, and having a true superstar on our team could only help. But, I'm not sure who I would be willing to give up. With the depth of our prospects, I would be willing to part with 2 first rounders, and a prospect who's name isn't Kostisyn or McDunagh. (my spelling is probably way off, but I'm sure you know who I mean)

For Hossa I'd give up:

Mtl 2009 1st (I like this years upcoming draft)
Saku Koivu
Michael Ryder
Jaroslav Halak

The Ottawa Sun says that the Habs, Rangers and Red Wings are the leading candidates to get Marian Hossa from the Thrashers before the trade deadline. The paper names Chris Higgins, a prospect and a first-round pick in 2008 as the price the Habs would have to pay for Hossa.

Thats coming from a TSN article. Do you really want to give that much up for Hossa?

I'd rather not give up Higgins.

Ryan O'Byrne, Jaroslav Halak, Micheal Ryder and Ryan White. No point changing up our lineups for one player.

I doubt we can get Hossa. They aren't going to give him away, and seem keen on getting Higgens, and I'm not comfortable letting him go.
