I agree. Morant is fine, but it even felt last year that ESPN was going out of their way to hype Morant, including sending ESPN to broadcast from Memphis. The Grizzlies were #2 in wins, but they won plenty of those games without Ja. Perhaps ESPN feels that to maintain ratings for their NBA broadcasts and related shows, they need to replace some of their aging stars (LeBron, Curry and KD), and find a young, flashy, black, American to pump up.
If Ant grows and upstages Ja, and I think he could, I bet he will get this preferential treatment too.
