ESPN 2022 Top 100 NBA players

They've now revealed 10-6. Honestly I'm shocked to see Ja Morant in the top 10. I very much question if he's even top 20 worthy.

I agree. Morant is fine, but it even felt last year that ESPN was going out of their way to hype Morant, including sending ESPN to broadcast from Memphis. The Grizzlies were #2 in wins, but they won plenty of those games without Ja. Perhaps ESPN feels that to maintain ratings for their NBA broadcasts and related shows, they need to replace some of their aging stars (LeBron, Curry and KD), and find a young, flashy, black, American to pump up.

If Ant grows and upstages Ja, and I think he could, I bet he will get this preferential treatment too.

I play fantasy basketball in some reasonably serious money leagues $250 entry fee and the players aren't fooled by the hype. Ja is usually drafted in the 20s or 30s. Always drafted after Rudy Gobert and usually after Ant.
