Media trying to stir up trouble
I was on YouTube listening to Windy talk about the Wolves, and I heard something new. He claimed that Ant wants to play with as small a lineup as possible. They also got into the whole pop eyes thing. But they went on to say that Ant was complaining to Timberwolves PR staff that he was getting questions about the rotation. They tried to paint a picture that Ant hates the Gobert trade, hates the starting lineup, and is unhappy in Minnesota. Now this is all news to me. This is just bizarre from my perspective. Does anyone know anything they can share about this? Right now I am just assuming this is the media trying to blow smoke so they can yell fire.

Sounds like a bunch of BS. We all have our preferences, but that doesn't mean we aren't willing or even happy to work with situations beyond such preference.

Re: Media trying to stir up trouble
For what it's worth, Ant's scoring and driving has never been better at this consistent of a rate during his career if we extrapolate his current start to the season over a full season. Even in the game where he made the comments about a smaller lineup being better than him and everyone focusing on his play with the 2nd unit in that small lineup Ant was 6-7 in the first quarter all on drives to the rim if I recall correctly all with Gobert in the game... it's actually probably the most consistent stretch of Ant dominating playing downhill/aggressive that I've seen from Ant in his career.

It's not out of nowhere
but might be a leap to say its a problem or ANT is unhappy
in general I think any guard would rather have a more open court to work with, but winning cures a lot

Ant needs to figure out how to be a team player. Gobert needs to figure out spacing with this team. Certainly wasn't a problem against Lakers, they both had awesome stats - if that is what the media care about.

Ant and KAT both say things that get the media into a frenzy. It may not be ideal, but what they are doing on the court is what really matters. On the court they are looking pretty damn good.

All of this was predictable in all honesty.

Re: Media trying to stir up trouble
To be fair, it looks like it would be more fun for anyone to play with the second string, not because they are small, but because they move the ball around so much. There is no reason the bigger starters can’t do this, and I think adding Kyle Anderson with some of the starters (and McLaughlin) may help that. I think DLo tends to dribble too much - he plays with the bigs.
It does seem a little hypocritical for Ant to say this, since he has been more of a ball stopper. But as long as he’s making his shots, it’s hard to complain. Plus Ant is a young player - with some time, they will all find a balance where they’re comfortable.

Finch's job is to make it fun, if he is as good as we think he is, he will.

Edwards under appreciates Gobert because he never gives him the damn ball!
