Re: They scared! Heat at Wolves
Reports are Jimmy Butler is beside himself. Furious. Going ballistic watching this game backstage. He may storm the arena and attack everyone. He's inconsolable. Some say he may never be the same human being after tonight. This game has irrevocably changed the fiber of his being.
The Minnesota Timberwolves have just left an indelible impression on his psyche, and the Miami Heat organization isn't sure what to do going forward about their franchise player. This could have repercussions for the league for generations to come.

I heard he was out tonight for general soreness.

I don't understand why KAT in year freakin' eight is still so perplexed at what to do with a smaller defender on him. You don't need to get all the way to the rim, just need to create the smallest bit of space so you can turn and shoot an easy jumper right over the top. Somebody get this man a link to a Dirk Nowitzki mix.
And watch Joker. Don’t bullrush the rim. If there is 8ft. Eat the space with a gentle pace. Get the double find the open guy. Just getting to the paint will open up outside shots. But it doesn’t have to be in a hurried, uncontrolled fashion.
I spent like 30 seconds trying to figure out how Joker the movie with Joaquin Phoenix relates

We actually gota legit shot at 6 in a row. Pacers are good but beatable. If we pull our heads out of our butts and play good basketball, we could beat the next two teams as the Ex-Bobcats are struggling big. A 6 game streak would be huge, winning that many games alone would go a long way toward fixing our messed-up chemistry. Just keep getting wins however possible and keep sorting our issues out.

Fun fact: Pacers have second longest active win streak in NBA at 5 games. Kangz at 6 games. Wolves at 4 games.

Starting to really love this team again after kinda just being meh on their effort the first 10 games...a team just trying to find their way.
BTW did anyone notice when KAT picked up his 5th foul, Ant wanted Naz to come in the game instead of Rudy? If it really is a spacing issue for Ant, Finchy has gotta figure out a way to create more space for Ant that isn't just Rudy trying to set screens

Re: They scared! Heat at Wolves
What a sh*t show tonight. They need to send a copy of the game to the library of congress as historical archive for definition of "Ugly Win". Towns, DsLow and Ant are the new Larry, Moe, and Curly. They should star in Dumb and Dumber 3 - dumb, dumb, dumb.
I can't see how this kind of play is going to win many games. How can our best play set be DsLOw and Ant dribble for 15 second outside the arc and shoot a desperate 3? Finch needs to pull Ant next time he throws another top arc skip pass to the top arc on the other side of the court. Can anyone besides Towns learn to throw a few simple passes down the middle to Gobert? Heat tries to give away the game with 29% 3s and 67% FT and almost won. I said a win is always better than a loss but now stand to be corrected.

If he could just keep the defense honest, it would be…. A HUGE improvement.

You say that, but 9 and 8 is a lot better than 8 and 9. We are clearly still figuring out spacing, timing, transition D, and more. Winning, (even as ugly as this,) keeps us in the playoff hunt, and buys us time until we truly figure it out and turn on the afterburners. 20 and 20 followed by 30 and 10 is still 50 wins.

That D'Lo-Rudy pick & roll that was supposed to stabilize our offense is really coming through!
I would personally buy D’Angelo Russell a First Class ticket to another team. Trade him for a stale bag of Ruffles.
It's remarkable how much he's fallen off the past 2 seasons. Not that he was amazing to begin with, but he arrived in Minnesota as a pretty decent shooter and passer. He was also a good defensive communicator and crunch-time scoring option last year. But between the playoffs and the start to the season...there's some serious sample size to this decline now. Not to mention he had a bad year shooting the ball overall all last season.
I really did believe that Dlo/Rudy pick & roll was going to be the connective tissue between Ant and Kat, or at least a way we'd begin a lot of offense. That part of our offense being non-existent because apparently DLo can no longer throw a lob, play with energy, or make basic decisions... it's really gutted our offense because we simply have no playmaking in the starting lineup (though shoutout to KAT for taking a real step forward this season as a passer.)
D'Lo is supposed to be entering his prime and instead we're asking "how stale?" about the bag of Ruffles before realizing it doesn't matter and feeling grateful for those chips.

Video? There really isn't another way. Ant has to learn how to use Rudy screens to create space, which isn't ideal but it's where we are at. Ant is driving and finishing at the rim at career best rates... I wonder what his stats would look like if he had more spacing in the paint... would he look like he was making a jump? Ant has always played better as the season goes on... excited to see him increase his consistency and figure out how to play with Rudy.
