Offensively he is absolutely good enough.
But he really struggles with defensive rebounding, he is more of a small-ball/ 2nd unit 5 than a true starter.

Naz is a great mismatch. He's a pretty good shot-blocker but not a great defender, fairly average. Mediocre on the defensive glass as well. He has a nice shot, nice touch around the hoop and he has pretty good handles to take his man off the bounce.

Yeah he’s a good backup and solid spot starter that’s about to get a significant pay increase.
Given how Garza looks I’d be comfortable losing Naz but it will be bittersweet.

Finally, I would add that Naz is a high character guy. Jim Peterson, the longtime Wolves color man, says Naz is one of his favorite people of all time.
Naz joined the team as an undrafted free agent, and his stellar Summer League play got him a contract, but only a Hinkie special, a deal at the minimum, with each season unguaranteed. He also had to play behind an All-NBA center in KAT, and this year they added Rudy. This might be the worst situation possible for a player that needs minutes to have a career, and I imagine most would lose all motivation, and scream about how this wasn’t his dream, and life was too unfair. Naz did the opposite. For four years, he has always worked hard on the court, been a joy in practice, and worked his butt off every off-season, showing up with a polished new skill at the start of each year.
Naz was dealt a bad hand, but how he handled it reveals his character. I’d love to keep a player like this, but there simply isn’t a place for him in Minnesota. If the Raptors traded for Naz, they would be getting a quality guy, and I would wish him all the best.
