Does potentially bringing Spagnolo over count?
Rest in peace Mamba. There'll never be another Kobe.

IDK, he looks more like comboguard to me.

I finally got a chance to watch the game this morning, and I saw something I never saw before.

With 4:30 left, Jaden McDaniels drives, the ball bounces off the rim, and Rudy had an offensive board and dunk.

And Jaden .. smiled!

At least, I think it was a smile. Teeth were shown. But this is a rarer sighting than Bigfoot.

Conley is the perfect guard for this team because he doesn't need the ball in his hands all the time to be effective. With Ant, Anderson and KAT, that's 3 guys that will be handling a good portion of the time.

Don't understand why Sam isn't part of the Wolves staff.

Thanks for posting that, LibertyPrime.

Great interview. I love Ant, but you can see how polished Towns is, representing the team with the media. Finch always talks about how smart he is, and he hit all the right notes here for the organization. Thanked Target Center and the fans. Talked about his teammates. Confidence in himself and the team’s future. And even had something bigger than the NBA to say about mental health. And he was happy and genuine doing it all. Ant is more entertaining, but Towns is more professional when it comes to interviews.

Nice comments on Mike Conley too at the end. I’m not surprised Isaiah Thomas and Sam Mitchell love Conley, because they all work very hard, and appreciate smart, veteran play and leadership.

But he still took and made that clutch 3pt shot

Lucky they didn’t call it.

Seriously Finch. KAT is not an end of game shot maker.
Never has been never will be.

You sure about that?

I was very happy that MIN beat the Hawks and Trae Young's foul baiting at the end of the game. KAT looked pretty good to me, I watched the entire match. I felt like a few possessions he missed some assignments but overall looked solid and was allowing the offense work.

The final foul call that ended up getting him FTs was also a bit sketchy honestly, but hey good for KAT for knocking them down and getting the whistle.

My friend watching the game with me who is a passing NBA fan said that KAT looked slow in this game in some limited possesions he was chilling over here, what did you guys think about that assessment ? I don't quite agree... Do you ?
Cheers

Towns is slow. But it is okay. It is more important that he trusts his movements. We need him to re-integrate in offense and defense

Yeah, he was a step slow (which makes sense considering the injury he had makes it near impossible to stay up on cardio to the degree needed in the NBA), but luckily his game isn't predicated on speed/athleticism (though he certainly has enough to get it done at a high level).

It's not easy to go from injured for 52 games to playing 20+ minutes in what basically is playoff basketball at this point.

Yeah, there was a breakaway dunk early in the game IIRC where I noticed he didn't get anywhere near as much lift as he used to.

Which makes perfect sense and isn't a criticism of him but it is something to kind of keep an eye on.

The great thing about that play, even though he looked a bit slow and maybe a bit gassed, he still finished the play. Just not as ferociously as usual.

Which gives me confidence that even though it may not look as polished as usual, KAT will get still get his regardless of his conditioning.
