I am just looking for anything positive from the game...

The positive for me is that first half. My biggest nightmare is that KAT and Rudy can't play together. I think that first half shows they absotluly can. It's just a matter of finding that consistently. Yes there will be some holes but a lot of our problem were not KAT and Rudy related in that second half. I actually feel overall better about that loss than I do the Raptors one because at least I saw that it can work well. The Raptors game we looked totally lost with the two bigs.

The two bigs thing being broken seems like a problem we cant recover from without making massive changes. These other problems at least seem fixable internally.

I stopped watching in the start of the fourth. Just too hard to watch. Maybe tomorrow. I haven’t read the thread yet, and I hope there isn’t a lot of scapegoating. Plenty of blame for everybody to share in that second half. Yuck.

One of the things that I like about RealGM vs other sites is that we look at the long view. A GM wants longterm success, so one great game, or horrible game, is not as big a deal. And in this game, we got both, in each half.

I think Finch deserves some blame, but the Hawks made their run in the third quarter, and the Wolves missed so open shots, even one’s close to the basket. The players need to make easy shots. I expected better perimeter defense from Jaden and NAW, and I’m a little concerned going forward.

They need to find a way not to be me me me for a full game … spend some time on the floor after loose balls, focus on rebounding , etc … so many opportunities that some egos just cannot relate to.

While I still believe team’s need to take the long view, it feels like we desperately need to beat DEN to reclaim fan optimism.

It would be nice to give them their first loss considering the "wolves played them the toughest" talk all summer. I'm not holding my breath though.

I do wonder if Den might sit some players though...

This guy really breaks down our issues in the second half yesterday.
;t=1s

The Wolves should of switched there pick in roll game to some of these actions.
;t=4s

If I can find this information in a quick 3 min search Finch, the coaches and players should know what to do by now when teams switch coverages.

I understand why people think it's the "same ol' Wolves", but I do think it's important to remember that the Hawks and Raptors are better teams than some of the paltry competition they were blowing leads against last season.

Ridiculous statement of course.

Have you seen the Raptors record? Good of the Wolves to provide them with their lone win, and that includes games against Chicago and Portland.

And please note Atlanta was on the end of a back-to-back, unlike Minnesota.

Do you never tire of the positivity despite the clear warning signs? At this point, you're nearing the homerism of Vikings play-by-play announcer, Paul Allen.

Way to conveniently leave out the fact that Atlanta blew out Milwaukee

I've never said there aren't concerns or issues that need to be addressed. I'm well aware. But this team will still finish above .500. This team will make the playoffs. I stand by that.

Barely finishing above .500 and making the play in again would be a complete failure. They need to be in contention to host and win a playoff series.

Great find. The first video was great to show how Hawks play drop back and Wolves were totally lost. I am looking at it as Hawks gave the ball handler room to shoot the mid range which we are suck at. The coaching staff could come up with another counter for the drop defense. Maybe just get into a post up with Towns. At the same time we don't have someone like Luka's ability to run the p&r. Conley should be a little better but totally agree that the coaching staff should had prepared better for Hawks' adjustments.

i was at that game, trying to remember the opponent

I believe it was a 50 pt swing

I think it was Washington. Up 28, lost by 27.

I thought we had a game like that against the Warriors, but I’m not sure.

Yes, that is the all time stinker. Notice GSW's record and players on that team. It's not exactly Run DMC or Splash Brothers.
