Colbini, you asked the guy to talk basketball but before that led with "you have a deep misunderstanding" and now closed with "you seem lost" and the  emoticon. Good luck talking basketball when you yourself are talking like that.

Let's get back to basketball.

The guy just said Ingles is 8th in our rotation

Some of you guys have the emotional well-being of a toddler. "I think you have a misunderstanding" is not a statement that needs to upset ANYONE. I feel like I am talking to middle schoolers with how dense, defensive and emotional distraught some of you are.

We can have disagreements. We can question one's understanding when they repeatedly post things like "Fire Finch" after 3 games and then follow it up with "Ingles is our 8th man".

lets not insult people like this then get offended when names are called back.

8-9th whatever not even my point , but haha it’s easy to see who is ultrasensitive. It seems you want to be an expert, but you’re just not. No reason to be an angry elf.

You're calling someone demeaning names on a basketball forum because they thought you had a poor understanding of a subject and provided evidence supporting their stance.

Rather than argue against my view point and stance, you have resorted to name calling

You provided evidence for yourself in your own mind and that’s perfectly fine … but the Elf thing got to ya  I’m done with this exchange for the sake of others

You’re fantasizing. Bring it in.

The argument of instant verses delayed gratification will never end (risking Ls now for Ws later—and you may strike rookie gold). No one knows for a fact what strategy is best now.

Right...but Finch playing the Top 8 right now is both delayed gratification AND winning now

It's not delayed gratification if a vet gets injured and a younger and inexperienced player gets thrown into the fire and can't meet expectations because they've had limited or no time to play with the regular rotation.

I knew this would be a problem with him again. Joe isn't even a long term answer for the team and he's not important to a playoff run.

Every other team? Do tell.

Every other NBA team has played their rookies so far.

Full disclosure: I was mildly surprised when I looked at the draft class. The only first round rookies to not play a single minute are Dillingham, Topic (injury), Carter (injury), Walter (injury), Holmes (injury), Shannon, and Collier (injury). So technically, you are correct.

However, let's look deeper. 14 of the 23 rookies have a negative win shares number already. 22 of the 23 rookies have a BPM below .000 (Ryan Dunn). 22 of the 23 have a VORP above .000 (Dunn again). So why, if our goal is to win games, are we in such a rush to get Dillingham and Shannon on the court?!

Good stats!

I'm all for getting young guys feet wet, but the games haven't played out in a way where it made sense. We're building chemistry and need to win games. If we're 10 games in and we don't start dipping guys toes in when we have 15 pt leads, then I'll start to question Finch.

I see where you're all coming from but I've been a fan of this team for more than 20 years and I'm no longer looking at things from year to year. I want a sustainable winning team that trends upward. We're losing guys every year due to the cap and you want to give guys who should be retired minutes to just get into the playoffs then play worse next year? Joe is gone next year. Rudy is not a good match with Ant but we signed him with a trade kicker?. we aren't even built around Ant. having a Center Like Bam would be a better start. Randle and Donte is just a move out of desperation because of the Rudy trade and it caused a log jam.

I'd rather possibly lose (because we don't know) some games now by playing the young guys to FINALLY develop them. Josh can't be happy right now and probably wants to leave anyway... but by all-star they should be productive enough for us to get into the playoffs because matchups is what really matters not being the top seed. Then we'd see what we have going into next year, and allows us to make better trades and signings because now we have assets and wont be taken advantage of because of our desperation.

IMO Connelly nor Ingles will be here next year … if they make it through this season I’ll be surprised, and the only way that happens is if they can keep their minutes reduced. Push them now for a couple wins and I agree we’ll pay for it later …
