Isn’t he the smallest player in the league?

In terms of height, no. In terms of weight, maybe?

If you include two-way players than smallest would be Yuki Kawamura. Jordan McLaughlin is listening as 6-0 (no way) and 185lb. Dilly is listed as 6-2 (no way) and 165lb. I can't think of anyone smaller.

Pretty cool Rob making his Target Center debut against his hometown team.

Rob measured 6'1" without shoes at the draft combine which makes him slightly taller than rotation players Mike Conley, Trae Young, Darius Garland, Fred VanVleet, Chris Paul, Kyle Lowry, Terry Rozier, TJ McConnell, Tyus Jones, Tre Jones, and Jose Alvardo. It's the lack of weight that is going to make it harder for Dillingham to adjust to the physicality of the league.

I wonder I’d Rudy has ever led the team in assists before?

He only had 4, but that’s all Conley and Randle had too. Ant only had 1.

I'd be bragging up Rudy's passing SO much. He seems to really need that kind of thing and I want him passing more. If Rudy doesn't have an immediate dunk or a lob, it should be an automatic kick out to a shooter. Sell him on assisting 3s. He should be kicking out a high number of offensive rebounds. Not only is he relative awful finishing the type of putbacks ORebs usually generate, but the defense is usually collapsed meaning there are open 3 pt shooters. The Knicks Mitchell Robinson is one I believe is good at it.

I have no idea how the coaching staff hasn't clearly shown via stats/film how ineffective "looking for Rudy" is when it's not an obvious dunk. Like what are the stats on Rudy with the ball having had to take a dribble?

Just a hunch, but they dare us to throw it to dump it to Rudy because it's not effective offense. Rudy on lobs and obvious dunks? Absolutely. That's it though. With Rudy's offense, less is more as far as shooting. Passing sure, kick it out Rudy!

It's a necessary wrinkle to the offence really.

If the offence has worked effectively, a guy like Ant should have drawn Rudy's defender over to him on a drive. When he passes it to Rudy it should either be a lob or, if the guy from the wing has come in to cover Rudy's roll, we need Rudy to be able to make the pass out to the now open corner.

It's funny to think about that we have multiple guys that can pass to Rudy, but Dlo could never figure it out.
