I know that NAW is playing as arguably one of our best, most well-rounded players right now, but I think a swap like this would open so much.
-Gives us 48 minutes of back line defense, shot blocking and rebounding
-Lessens the back court log jam, which opens up minutes for Rob
-Additionally, Finch would feel more comfortable going to Rob with a 7-footer there instead of Randle/Naz
-Allows Naz to focus more on offense
-48 minutes of Conley/Dillingham creates better flow for role players like Reid, DiVincenzo, McDaniels, etc.
I think it will go until the deadline. I'm guessing adding a third team would be in play as well, in order to maximize Utah's return. I bet Tim will try his hardest to hold onto the DET 1st. If he has to give it up though, I'm willing to part with it in order to make all of the above happen.
IDK Klomp, I don't think that Ainge is going to trade Kessler to us, period. I don't like the NAW for Kessler deal, but I don't have any good ideas to make us any better, either. I despised the KAT trade and really thought they could have won the championship this year, despite what others say. Oh, well, water under the bridge.
Not sure if this is 2nd apron legal, but Collins and Kessler for JR and NAW. Wolves use Collins to space the floor and provide low man defensive rotation. Kessler hopefully is the next Rudy and develops on the Ant timeline. Meanwhile the Jazz might want to rope in a 3rd team and move NAW and JR for picks or other value.
