I agree as you can’t change all players so firing the coach may help. But the main priority is to get rid of Randle for me.

Honestly, I've said this from the day it happened. That trade will go down as one of the worst in this franchise's history.

To make the Western Conference Finals for the second time ever only to turnaround and deal one of the most important players, regardless of how frustrating he could be, because of future finances. And to cap it off, the package returned has been abysmal.

The fans have been through hell for so long. We damn near reached the light at the end of the tunnel only to be slapped in the face.

And then you have posters like shrink and Klomp defending (or rationalizing) it...

they extended him until 2028
no way they eat that salary even if they concluded that coaching was biggest issue

Got home to watch after halftime, and Wolves have gotten worse since the beginning of this season. I was thinking they just need to build chemistry earlier this year, but this team just seems not interested in playing hard to win at this point.

There are going to be times when shooters go cold, but you can't excuse dumb and no effort defense. Randle played drop back perimeter defense on shooters like Trae Young and Steph Curry late in the game. Just about every team in the league has a player or multiple that would have a field day on that drop back perimeter defense and witnessed it but still do not have the energy or mindset to Hassell those shooters.

I think we got to bring in the hungry younger guys at some point. Dillingham, Minott, TJ, Dozier, and Garza. Garza should get heavy center minutes and Gobert less because I know Garza can give us more than 2 points in 28 mins. He can stretch the defense and provide more energy.

I think keeping above .500 this month and get some win streaks next year will be what it takes to qualify for playoffs. These next few games mean a lot. It will be too late soon in the west if they don't figure things out soon.

Just got home not too long ago and was going to watch the game but then the score got spoiled. Decided against it. Sounds like more of the same though…

Watched on tape delay today, even when Wolves were up 5. I was expecting them to lose in the 4th qtr given the way they played. Gobert sucked and in part due to inconsistency of ball going to him. Guys don't run hard on offense because ball isn't coming. Timing is still like 1st game of the season. There is zero interior passing to Gobert or anyone. Randle looks liked he is throwing the ball away every time he passes. It's 7 game losing streak in the making.

Just watched the game and read the posts and not a single mention of Ant? Come on now people. He was the by far the worst player on the floor. I saw Ant as a JR Smith but a polished JR smith at times... but now he's been exposed after the trade because he doesn't have a number 2 playing beside him. Tim and Finch should both be gone but mainly TIm. the team is playing so bad that the trade value for Randle and DD have gone down and we may have forced Randle to opt in because of it. Say goodbye to NAW and Naz because this team is toast. I knew that after the horrible return on the Towns trade we should have just blown things up.

To be fair, not really any point for anyone to post about Anthony Edwards because he is a net-negative on the court the majority of games. Basically a broken record.

Someone needs to remind these guys that basketball is played for 48 minutes, and if you only put in the effort for 24-30, you won’t like the final score.

I might be wrong but in defense I don't see Reid as SF at all. He isnot good at defending in space.

Gréât shooting competition from Ant and Randle 3 on 14 at 3….this team is done as long as they don’t trade Randle! im glad I did not watch. I know some posters will Complain about Rudy slowing down , Mike getting old or Jaden beeing not consistent but the real responsibility are on Ant the supposed leader, on Randle who just work on his stats and in Finch for being unable to show he is the boss. Trading Randle can save the season. I’m not even sure that firing Finch will help….

I did. See this previous post. I agree with you. ANT clearly show that year that the leader costume is way too big for him....this was probably the best from GM 9 apart the money saving side) that ANT will go a step up and carry the team... it does not work at all and seeing him and Randle play together is a recipe for disaster on top of frustrating probably more and more others players. I look at body language of Mike , Rudy yesterday and signals were not good. Unless TC realize this asap, i agree with you this team is not far from being toast..

I think even my grandma will be better than Randle in defense. So NAZ may look like MJ compare to Randle :)

I don’t think saying Rudy is slowing down is a fair statement. Rudy has good game and bad games. The difference is Rudy gets much less help. Last season his offense was helped by guys no longer on the team. It was helped by Mike who is rarely on ball at this point (especially late.) last season Rudy had KAT as a rebounding partner, and the vibes were better which made everyone play better. Rudy’s defense is worse because he is afraid to rotate. He knows if he comes out then the low man will either not rotate, be late on the rotation, or get scored on. Rudy gets a stop and no boxes out so put backs are more common. Rudy’s struggles are teammate inflicted, culture inflicted, and sometimes self inflicted (his temper or anxiety get the best of him.) It doesn’t feel or look like the age wall, (not the way it does with Mike,) which means it is fixable.

P.S, why can’t guys just throw the ****** ball up to Rudy. Chest passes and lower give defenders time to interfere with the catch, how can guys not get that.

The question I was thinking about was Naz position in defense. IMO it is PF or backup C. At some degree Randle takes Naz productive minutes at PF. McDaniels and Minott can also play PF, so MIN clearly lacks balance as we have three fulltime SG: Edwards, DDV and NAW and multiple players who can play PF: Randle, Reid, McDaniels and Minott.

Can't agree more...Rudy is not slowing down, he just play with the wrong partner right now. The FO extend him which is understandable but in the same time, put players who not fit well around him. As long as we let Randle and ANT having the ball too much, we will not win anything...they just unable to pass the ball properly.

Didn’t you say this after the Gobert trade?

KG and I were also on board with it, (personally I was super excited to get Gobert.) My only reservation was the cost. I would have tried to keep Vando, or Kessler, or had one less pick. But I think a lot of us saw the potential of twin towers. Unfortunately after it worked we went away from it and got too small in the process.

No, I did not say the same, though I will admit I didn't like the trade because I felt the Wolves paid too much, in terms of future draft capital.

And yes, it's pretty obvious, you and Klomp are two peas in a pod.
