Connelly did hire Malone in Denver and spent 7 years working with him.

I think Malone is too old school. I don't think Lore and Rodriguez would go for it.

I’m surprised they eliminated both sides of that equation.

In 10 seasons Jokic never played with a current All-Star. I believe about 50% of their cap is tied up in Murray and MPJ. They've let really good roleplayers leave and have done almost nothing to replace them.

As bad of job as the wolves did surrounding KG

Didn't we get two #1 overall picks to pair with KG? Joe Smith and Olowokandi.

Sure, and how many No. 1 picks did David Kahn and Flip Saunders acquire here over the years?!

Confused by that as well.

If it was a rift between the two, surely only one goes. Then when filling the position, find a candidate that aligns with the one still at the club.

We must be missing a piece to this puzzle.

Cleaning house makes some sense. Allows the new POBO to pick his own coach.

I think the bigger statement is that they didn't believe in Booth. Timing "sense" went out the window after the Grizzlies fired Jenkins.

Yea not sure what the moves are. It seems ridiculous to rebuild when jokic is in his prime but you have zero assets

Another loss to the wolves and they just imploded. Any time they play the wolves, the whole team's body language is just not good. I've never seen anything like it honestly. But why right before the playoffs??

Why do this when you have 3 must win games left against good teams to avoid slipping into the play-in?

Malone is a great X's and O's coach, one of the best.
If he has one flaw it's that he wears out his starters.
But he gets the most out of all of his players skillsets, without a doubt.
Their offense is off the charts incredible this year. They have 4 starters with 60%+ shooting efficiency. 4. and the 5th is at 55%

To put that in perspective, the Wolves starters are all at 53-54% except Gobert who only dunks.

They've lost Aaron Gordon for 30 games, Murray has been hurt or banged up all year, Jokic has been playing banged up all year.
Ownership just can't see the forest for the trees.

David Adelman is your answer? The guy who looks like the kid from Mad Magazine?
Trying to command the respect of a bunch of pro athletes including Russell Westbrook?

Booth blames Malone for not developing the youth and Malone blames Booth for drafting guys who suck.
And I'd have to side with Malone on that one.
The one guy he has given run, Braun, is having an incredible year.

And that's out of need because he's been given no depth.

The year they won the title, Jokic led the team in MPG at 33.7. The other 4 starters averaged 32.8, 31.3, 30.2 and 29.0.

3 bench players averaged 19, and 3 more averaged 15.
