I doubt it, but yeah it is interesting..I think he would definitely be back for a game 6 and one of the Warriors home games was a must win for them to buy him some time.

Hamstring injury is very misleading. I really doubt GSW want to rush Curry back

Warriors are still a pretty great defensive team..its encouraging to see Wolves offense have 3 straight 100+ pt games after that stinker in G1.

After what happened with Tatum, there is ZERO chance they rush Steph back. They would get murdered in the media if he got a worse injury.

This, plus Jimmy and Dray are both 35. Curry is 37 and turning 38 next year. The national media talks about Jimmy being brought in for a 3 year window. If Curry gets injured in a way that disrupts his offseason or worse the regular season next year, or worse still getting an injury that lingers and could come back worse, then they may lose another of those years. When you have 3 bullets in a gun, firing twice is a big deal, and I don’t know if they want to waste a bullet down 3-1 with two games in Minnesota. Moreover, even if Curry did rush back, what kind of shape and capabilities would he have. If he cannot run around for 1.5-2 miles and only plays 20-25 minutes, is he gonna be impactful, or just in the way?

He has 5 months to recover if he re-injures himself. This is the playoffs, this is what you play for and at his age, odds don't get better. I think you could make a case that this is his last, best chance.

I'm more with you than W4L on this one. W4L your comment on Curry being 37 and turning 38 next year seemed very odd to me. Every 37 year old in the world will be 38 next year and maybe even turn 38 this year. Did I miss your meaning?

I meant his birthday already happened this year. If he was 37 about to be 38 then maybe this would be a last hurrah. But because he is still relatively young (on the twilight of the career scale,) he might want to play it safe and try again without a 3-1 hole to climb out of, especially with 2 of those 3 on the road.

Worm Guts, you gotta remember that calf injuries are tricky and can lead to other injuries if you try and force through them. I will include the tweet, but Jack Borman was talking about this last night and he pointed out that not letting fully heal is a bad idea. Plus even if he rushes back and they somehow eliminate us, what good does that do them if he gets a grade 2 sprain and misses the rest of the playoffs. In order to get use out of him and not risk anything for later, he must be fully healthy.

I'm absolutely aware that not letting a hamstring can cause injuries, but you also don't sit out playoff games so you can be healthy for the offseason. So it really depends on what you think the potential consequences are (ligament tear or achilles type injury?) and what if anything you have to offer playing with the injury.

That's the big question.

Steph is so reliant on his legs. If he can't run or cut, he's not getting open. If it affects his jumping at all, it'll affect his shot.

Plus the Warriors are a significantly worse defense with a healthy Steph on the floor. He's not helping them on that end at all.

Whichever coach figured out how to break their zone at halftime deserves a raise.

We absolutely decimated it in the 3rd quarter.

I think it was more about the defense than the offense. They were struggling to score so we were able to rush down and get spacing and opportunities. Once the rhythm developed for Ant it forced the zone to shift. Rudy and Jaden just fundamentally shifted the dynamics of the game. Also in that last 3:15 of Q2, GSW shot 10 free throws to our 0. They made all 10. That meant set defense a lot of the time.

Stephen Curry unlikely to play Game 5: 'Even if I wanted to be Superman, I couldn't'

Warriors superstar Stephen Curry does not expect to return to the court Wednesday for Game 5 with Golden State’s season on the line, he told Andscape’s Marc J. Spears on Monday night. “Even if I wanted to be Superman, I couldn’t,” Curry said, referring to his left hamstring injury. Curry was responding to a comment by teammate Draymond Green that the Warriors and Curry are not going to try to “Superman this thing” if the star isn’t fully ready to return.– via ESPN

I think this was probably NAW's best game of playoffs so far

I'd probably give it to Game 2.

I love that he hit all 5 shots last night and cut down on the 3s. But he did have the 4 TOs and his defense was not great. He's just not strong enough to defend the bigger wings of GS.

But the fact that he's had 2 good games out of 4 is a really strong positive.

Naz was horrible last night. Really careless turnovers, got caught out of position constantly, and when he did have position, he let his man blow past him.
