Kevin Pelton’s article on free agency for espn.

https://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/45320766/nba-free-agent-rankings-futures-lebron-turner-more-stars

25. Tyus Jones
Phoenix Suns | PG
Unrestricted free agent

Adding Jones on a minimum contract didn't prove the coup the Suns had hoped for last summer. He produced as expected, shooting 41% on 3-pointers and posting his usual high assist-to-turnover (4.7), yet he couldn't help Phoenix's offense deliver on its potential. For all their talent, the Suns were barely better than league average in offensive rating, and Jones started just four games after the All-Star break. He might need to sign another short-term contract to rebuild his value. One interesting option: Could Jones return to his hometown Timberwolves if Alexander-Walker heads elsewhere?

Yeah, replacing NAW with Jones on team friendly deal would be a good outcome. I wonder what Tyus priorities are at this point of his career. Conley has one more year left in contract, but he should not play many minutes next season. Ideally Tyus can provide some veteran leadership behind Rob.

Tyus would be great, could do a lot worse. It would help to balance the roster swapping NAW for him. Unsure if we could afford to bring him in though.

Brogdon would be a dream, if he's healthy enough to play a majority of games, but especially the post-season.

Haven’t been on in awhile so I may have missed if it was mentioned. I just saw something stating that Westbrook told his agent he wanted to play for the wolves with Ant.

Source? I just went looking for it but couldn't see anything.

If I was playing devil's advocate, he'd help the team play with pace which looks to be what both the FO and coaching staff want. He's also by all accounts an excellent locker room presence.

Still would rather just about anyone else though.

I wasn’t able to grab the source. Idk how legit it was as it was just a Facebook post from some sports page. Was just wondering if anyone else had heard something…

Jake Fischer views the Timberwolves as perhaps the most logical landing spot for free agent guard Malcolm Brogdon. Fischer acknowledges that that Minnesota wants to give youngsters Rob Dillingham and Terrence Shannon Jr. more opportunities to establish themselves as rotation players, but notes that the team could use another veteran option to complement Mike Conley, who will turn 38 in October. “I think Minnesota still stands as a really good situation for Malcolm Brogdon and one that he’s been monitoring, one that the Wolves have checked in on,” Fischer said. “I’m not making a prediction, but I think that’s a good situation for Malcolm Brogdon.”

I’m fine with this. I don’t want Russ.
