Would Van Gundy come back into coaching?

I have wondered this. After being in big markets he might enjoy the small market. Also Van Gundy liked having a big guy and making a team physical. I think his system would fit very well with what we want to do.

WOW, did you know JVG is only 46? He looked so old in NY.

I would think he would be a target for sure. I would really like that fit. Just not sure if he wants the stress from coaching anymore. He seems to enjoy the media and is very good with that.

not that it matters but JVG is a year younger than Wright. Weird what the NY stress can do to someone.

Wright signed a 7 year extension in 2006 so I do not see him coming out.

I'd love to have JVG here, I think he would make an instant bond with our young guys with his sense of humor and preaching of defense.

I agree. I think it would make a great fit. Man, I wish there was a way to make that happen.
