Should we pick him up? Not sure if he'd want to come, but it'd be nice to have another big body.

He's another guy I wouldn't mind taking a look at this summer. I think he'll never get back to what he once was, but perhaps the humiliations of the last couple years might get his head on straight.

If he will sign for cheap. Then yea I wouldn't mind grabbing him. Drop Doleac and pick up Maglore.

Ok, someone please explain something to me. A waived player is available to any team, as long as they pick up his salary, they have a roster spot, and cap space. Correct? So, I dont know if SA, LA, or Phoenix (heck or even NO, Denver, or Utah for that matter) meet those criteria, but if they do, why wouldnt someone grab Magloire on waivers just to block him from going to a competitor like Dallas? IIRC his salary is pretty minimal this year.

Anyone can in the scenario listed, but I don't think most of the teams listed wanted to add the salary. Dallas still had the MLE to use and the roster spot, plus probably don't care about going over the luxury tax like the other teams might.

Probably hurt our ability to trade Doleac though. :)

That was a good point. When I first heard Mags was waived I was perplexed by NJ's motivation for doing that. But once one looks at the move in light of the Kidd deal though it makes more sense.
