Has McCants met your expectations this season?

Coming into the season, I believed that this year was his breakout year and he'd average 18+ ppg. He isn't doing too bad so far with 14.8 and his percentages aren't bad.

I think he's really talented and he's shooting a great percentage from 3, but his inconsistency and the fouls he commits due to his laziness on D (playing D with his hands, not feet) are the potholes that are in his way to take his game to the next level.

I really hope he reaches his potential. There was a reason why he was considered one of the best players in the nation at one point when he was at UNC. If it weren't for his "attitude problems," he could've been a lottery pick.

He's doing good, but I too expected like 18 ppg on the current roster. If he can get a little better on D and use his body better on offense he and AJ can be a great inside outside combination

I don't think he has met my expectations, but might have enough value around the league to fetch us a decent player or pick.

Well he hasn't met the expectations I had for him about 18 months ago but I suppose he has had my more recent expectations. In some ways he even surprises me with the talent he posses. Really he has it in him to be a consistent 18 PPG. I'm just worried that he may not reach it.

He seems to need guidance and I think KG could have brought that to him but with KG gone I don't know. I hope Witt or somebody can help him become the player he can. He should be a 18 PPG scorer a legit third option.

once he matures, mentally, then he will be a 20 ppg scorer. he has the tools, he just f's around a lil bit too much to be overly succesful.

hes not putting up 18 like some expected, but hes our second leading scorer, doing it of 24 mins a game off the bench. and that aint not half bad

I would say he is about what I had imagined. My expectations were not for this year however. I have expectations for him next year where he needs to prove if he is a true part of our future. It will be his 3rd FULL season and the 2nd year with this particular group. If you cant show you should be a part of the pack, the alpha males must take it into their hands to get rid of you.

He needs to stay out of foul trouble, keep the TO's low and prove he can be a threat every night. It seems he has been having an easier time scoring off the bench than being in the starting 5. I dont want a bench scorer, I want a damn cold-blooded killer starting at the 2.

I really expect more from Mccants. He should become a 20 ppg scorer in this league. You guys are all right that the dumb fouls, the sloppy D, and TO trouble are holding him back. If he realizes his potential he could be a very special player.

He's met the expectations I had for him coming into the season, but after his strong start to the season, the bar was raised a bit, and he hasn't met that expectation.

I guess I wonder what you guys expect of him defensively. Granted he has room to improve but there are not that many 2 guards that can do both(play better than avg defense and offense) well. If he was on one of those run and gun teams like Suns or GS...not sure his "D" would be much of an issue...Here's to a good game tonight.....

It was hard to set expectations for Rashad coming into this season. Going into next season, given his propensity to get into foul trouble, my expectations is that he settles into the sixth man role for backcourt scoring off the bench. He does very well at that role.
