Here's the chat with Telfair...

Should we keep him?

If we get lucky and get the top pick to draft Rose I don't think he will be back. If we don't draft a pg then I would like to see him come back. He was my least favorite player on the team towards the start of the season, but he changed my mind since then.

I want him to stay. His injury was bad timing, and I think will hurt his stock unfortunately.

Out of him, Gomes, and Smith, at this point I see Telfair going. Snyder also seems likely.

Depending on how the draft plays out, I'd love to have him here as a backup PG.
My Kobe Bryant website I designed myself: http://personal.stthomas.edu/dnnguyen/kb24.

Fair enough. I'm sure a decision won't be made until after they know where they select.

I was impressed with his play overall. His shooting needs work, but he showed a lot of things you want in your PG.

I'd like to have him back, but so much depends on who we draft. If it's a big he's much more likely to be back. If it's someone like Rose then it's unlikely.....unless they decide to keep Telfiar as backup, make Foye a full time SG, and move McCants for another piece as we discussed in another thread.

While his injury probably hurt his market value it could make it much easier for us to re-sign him to a reasonable deal.

If anything I think his injury hurt his stock with the Wolves, but not really with other teams. A combo of Foye and Jaric step up, and suddenly Telfair seems a bit more expendable.

I don't want him, he sucks at defense and his offense is usually weak. He can't finish or draw contact and his shooting blows. He gets a few assists and scores well like 1 in 10 games. Overall his career of bad offense and bad defense isn't untapped potential, its a below average player.
