Blazers/Minny Trade?
Lets say Minny is picking anywhere from 4-6 and OJ Mayo is still on the board. Portland wants to move up and grab him. Beasley, Rose, and Brook Lopez are no longer available for Minny.
Portland is only willing to offer its own picks and young talent to move up. Taking on longer contracts is not an option for them. Is there a chance that Portland would be able to make the following trades to obtain that pick?
Portland Outgoing: #13 Pick, Jarret Jack, Martell Webster, Channing Frye, Combo of 2008 2nd round picks.
Portland Incoming: Right's to OJ Mayo, Antoine Walker
3rd Team Outgoing: 2009 2nd round pick
3rd Team Incoming: Jarret Jack
Minny Outgoing: Antoine Walker, Rights to OJ Mayo
Minny Incoming: #13, Martell Webster, Channing Frye, Combo of 2008 2nd round picks, 1x 2009 2nd round picks.

Normally I would say bad things and that you are already too lucky and we have helped you enough....however... if rose, lopez and beasley are already gone, I think this deal would be very enticing (spelling).
Frye would be a decent stop gap at the center position. At 13 we could still get a big...perhaps Jordan drops. I would be more willing to take chance on that kid with the 13th pick rather than #4. Jack and Webster would make it possible to deal McCants for another 1st rounder in the mid to high teens and get robin lopez as well.
Frye - Jordan - Richard
Jefferson - R.Lopez - Madsen (i.r.)
Gomes - Brewer
Webster - Buckner
Foye - Jack - Jaric

Nah, Wolves are in no possition to trade quality for quantity, especially if the package doesn't contain a big who can play D. Gotta roll the dice on the pick, no other option (unless an elite scorer or post defender can be had. Okafor. Deng. Maybe Iggy or Josh Smith. Those are the types of names worth trading a pick for. Not Frye and a later pick.)

Jack + Frye + #13 for MN pick?
LOL! Clearly you've been watching the Trade Board, where POR offers that package for everything.
I'm amused what POR thinks they can get for permanent bench players and a pile of second rounders.

It's the "My team is finally good" syndrome. Toronto went through that phase last year "I can get your teams 2nd best player with our 7th and 8th best player and our late teens pick." Next year it might be us, trying to pawn off Ryan Gomes, Rashad McCants, and 'Toines expiring for more than that package is worth. But I'd like to think we're smarter than that.

You do realize that these people aren't actually members of the Blazers organization, right?

It's funny, I'm a U of MN alum so I'm going to be accused of wearing Maroon and Gold colored glasses here, BUT... the TrailBlazer I would want to acquire is Joel Pryzbilla. How good would the Vanilla Gorilla look next to Jefferson? And I think he's somewhat expendable assuming that Oden is healthy.
I agree that Jsun has the values a bit askew, though. What about:
Jack and Pryzbilla for Walker
Jack's not flashy, but he could play behind Foye on a playoff team, right? This would give the Blazers two huge expirings (in Walker and LaFrenz) and time on the floor for all their prospects. Personally, I wouldn't give up a shot at Mayo for any Blazer prospect less accomplished than Roy.

I would really like Pryzbilla too, but I think he's raised his value a lot this year and probably nets more than just an expiring.
A trade I proposed awhile back was our pic at #3 or worse + Jaric for Pryzbilla/Portland Pick and Fernandez rights.

Did you get any Blazer feedback? I would think they would want to do a 2/1 or 3/2 trade like because of all their young guys. If I were a Blazer fan I'd be okay with this (or maybe counter with Jack instead of Fernandez?), even though Jaric isn't as productive as the Vanilla Gorilla.
Man, if Pryzbilla was on this team I could type Vanilla Gorilla all the time! C'mon McHale! We know there are no members of the Portland front office on this forum, but McHale probably is. I promise to add Pryz to my avatar, how can you refuse that?

I'm not a U of M alum, but I think you're right here. Przybilla hardly registers offensively, but he's a pretty good, phyical C on defense. I think he's a little overpaid, at $6,310,150 $6,857,725 $7,405,300 for 2008-10, but he'd be a really nice fit here with Al. I also agree that POR could use the room under the lux, or more money for the competitive free agent race in Summer of 2008, when Raef and Francis (and Blake and Outlaw) expire for $36 mil.
Any way you slice it, that's a lot of money for a guy that's going to ride your bench.
However, Dr.Krapinsky's right. The POR "posters" on the Trade Board have gotten attached to Przy, and don't seem inclined to want to deal him. They point to the fact that their owner, Paul Allen, is immune to the lux, so having a $7 mil bench center over the lux isn't such a big deal to their team, even if they are over the lux for three years through sign-and-trades.
Oden, Aldridge, Frye, LaFrentz and McRoberts should be solid, so I think it makes sense and might be something to look at.
