I think there are a few malcontents, mostly people that are bitter about trading Roy. Most of us are eager to see what Foye can do in a full season. If the latter part of this past season is any indication, things are looking up.

I don't hate Foye. I was extremely excited we took Brandon Roy, and was ready to jump off a bridge when we traded him for Foye. But shortly after I came to terms with it and am pulling for him to succeed.
I hope we see his career take off like the 2nd half of this season showed it could. I'd love for us to pair someone like Mayo with him, a shooting guard who can pass the ball, play defense, and score. It's a shame we couldn't pair Foye and Roy together.

To me, this is the make-or-break year for Randy Foye. Even great players rarely come out of college and can be a starting PG at the NBA level. Deron Williams is doing great now, but remember his rookie season? Foye had less experience at PG than Deron did, plus he lost a huge chunk of the season to injury.
As people have often repeated, even as a rookie, Foye put up near identical per minutes to Roy. Its hard to be patient, but we've all seen glimpses of the upside. Next season is when we will find out if its a mirage.

I agree with you. I expect a quasi breakout season from Foye if indeed the Wolves don't get a chance to select Rose. Last year Roy won the " Do you know me now" award. I think if he doesn't show signs of at least being a star you have to consider trading him for another player or a future pick at the trade deadline. I mean Antonio Daniels at least in my opinion kinda resembles his type of game when he came into the NBA. He was stuck in between positions. He was a top pick but never reached the star label that you somewhat expected to be when you are drafted high.
