Taking wiretap into MN/NY

Post#1 » by Winter Wonder » Thu May 22, 2008 3:57 pm

Ok, talk me out of it because I don't like player though I love the pick.

Wiretap indicates the Knicks may be interested in trading the pick to off salary and provide cap relief and they want to possibly trade either Curry or Randolph. Those are two players I really don't want to touch with a 10 ft pole but..................

Min in: Curry and #6 pick
NY in: Walker and ? (if anything)

..... may actually tempt me. Tell me I am wrong. Tell me Curry is an unisured heartbeat away from being worse than the lack of effort, slow center he already is. That his defense is horrible and he doesn't rebound well enough and that we lose to much in our salary plans and the number 6, though would be nice isn't worth taking on Curry even though he may fill a position of need.....

Why do I like all these 1st round prospects/picks so much? Is this worth considering? Could this be tweaked?

I'd go so far as to throw in any or all of the Miami pick, Boston pick, our second rounder(s)

It does appear that they would be looking to trade down not out of this 1st round, so this would probably complicate it from our prospective value wise.

I just want the draft to hurry up and be here

I hate the super long wait. In fact, to hell with the NBA season, I just want to do like 6 drafts a year and never play any games, I think that'd make me really happy. I could study prospects with high intensity the whole year round
