Won't be jumping ship myself, but may need a break for a bit. I am glad many are happy with Love, I just don't currently see the center we needed to put Jefferson at the 4.

I am not upset we traded Mayo at all. Would I have liked him, heck ya, but I think I had more trade scenarios out there with the #3 than most. I just didn't like the over all value with the expirings and the lack of a true 7 footer. I hope Love prooves me wrong, just wasn't the prospect I wanted. Defense is the concern, but again, hope they figure it out. Just didn't like this direction. I wanted a defensive team, long and athletic, not what I am seeing. And yes, I wanted Gallinari the most, and Miller isn't much of a consolation. I blame NY for messing up other possibly trades with teams that had centers.

I look forward to many Devilz posts stating how he told us so and still arguing with him how he is wrong.

This is a lot better than the post 2004 KG years. It may not be what a lot of us envisioned, but hey, if you're a fan, you're a fan.

I will stick around...but this is gonna take a long time for me to get over...
Mayo/Jordan/Hardin>>>>>>>>Love/Pekovic/2 future 2nds

PG:Foye/Mayo PG:Foye/Bassy
SG:Mayo/Mccants/Foye SG:Mccants/Miller/Foye
SF:Gomes/Brewer >>>>>>>>>> SF:Miller/Gomes/Brewer
PF:Jefferson/Gomes PF:Love/Gomes/Jefferson
C:Richard/Hardin/Jordan in any order C:Jefferson/Love/Richard

I just don't get it...I hope our new lineup can convince me we have a bright future. I don't care about wins right now I care about our future. I want it all...a championship. Anything less is a disappointment.

I may sound glum but bottom line the Minnesota Timberwolves are my team and realgm is my forum. I'm no fairweather fan so I'll stick it out as long as you guys do.

Love will not keep me from watching this team.

Foye, Brewer, McCants, Al, Craigers(Hopefully), Gomes are still part of this team and they all have room for improvement.

Adding one of the best shooters in the L in Miller and a Big in Love is just another addition to a team I already saw was improving.

+1.

Anyone ever read Kurt Vonnegut's Slaughterhouse Five? It's a book mostly about WWII and flying saucers... anyway, the book begins with the hero being captured at the Battle of the Bulge by the Nazis. He's forced to ride in a prison train for days and days little food and water, crammed into an unheated boxcar with like 50 other captured soldiers. There's a character in the boxcar who keeps saying to the hero, "You think this is bad? This ain't so bad." The guy was a hobo and the Army, for him, was far better than living on the street.

See, I'm not that old (30) but old enough to remember Stoijko Vrankovic and Shane Heal, Jimmie Rodgers and Michael Williams. "The Cuban Big Dog." Laettner and Rider taking turns jacking up 20 shots a game. Donyell Marshall, franchise savior. Consecutive lotto picks on historically bad centers.

"You think this is bad? This ain't so bad."

Wow!

Glad someone else can relate on the old part (33) and the history. Spencer, Longley, sigh.

Please, any of us who lived through Pooh Richardson, Gerald Glass, Thurl Bailey, and Randy Breuer to name ã few can handle this. After ã 12 hour, jumping off the cliff rage at Mchale I can admit the trade isn't bad. More pissed about the second round. I still would take Mayo in a minute, but I dig Love. :P

I have read this board for a while now and have always valued the opinions expressed here. But after seeing the despair and, quite frankly, what I thought was a bit of an overreaction to the trade, I thought it was necessary to voice one satisfied fan's opinion.

While many people may be leaving the Brotherhood of the Wolf, I will continue my membership with renewed excitement and look forward to sharing discussions with all that remain.

Nice to see some optimism today. Welcome to the board.

Everybody's ignoring the real benefit here, the Wolves made Jim Peterson a happy man! He's been pimping Love ever since he played at the Target Center in high school. He'll probably do the same for Jrue Holiday during this season.
"A while back,'' Cardinal said, "I took a picture of the standings and texted it to Love, just to bust his chops,'' Cardinal said. "He sent me a picture back of a snowdrift.''

I'm still sticking around with you guys, as I've said before, this board is the best team board on the site in my opinion, not only is it very active, it's a great community and it lacks all the dumb asses that a lot of other boards have(GB...).

I love(pun intended) you guys and you all need to stay.

Now hug it out bitches, and lets continue supporting these young players, and bashing management.

(Now I have to hurry and abuse my powers before my temp mod status is taken.)

NO-KG-AI, you're a good f'in guy in my book. You're welcome to stay as long as you like. I agree that the group of guys we have here, no matter how much we bicker and disagree, it still one of the best groups out there. I have been to other boards, and it seems like most of the posters hate one another, it just feels cold

Yea, but you guys are nothing like the other boards.

You also don't think every player on your squad is a destined hall of famer like other boards.

K, I'm going lock something.

I'm not going anywhere, I'm still very excited for the future and I'm a big fan of Mike Miller, I hope he doesn't get traded before the season starts.
