Love looked so slow tonight. I just know Al and him will not work out.

I don't know about his speed but Love will be much better. He's basically a teenager.

It's not just Love, the Wolves have the most out of shape team in the NBA. They'll never be able to be a good defensive team until they develop the stamina to give 48 minutes of focus for 82 games and they're a mile away right now. The preseason has been misleading because they get like 5 weeks to rest between games, but once the regular season starts, it'll be huffing and puffing again just like last year.

Undisciplined play and bad conditioning, just way too much of both.

I missed most of the 1st quarter, and it looks like that was a good thing. 29-9? Wow, I guess the starters didn't come to play.

I'm not that worried about Love, he was missing a ton of shots he usually makes. It wasn't like he was getting absolutely manhandled out there. Like I've said before, he's just gonna have to learn how to use his body to his advantage as far as positioning and such. He's not a terrible athlete but this year especially, he's gonna be schooled on occasion, like against teams with highly athletic forwards, and that will be the case until he learns how to use his body and feet better.

Brewer and Madsen as your starting forwards isn't going to net you a lot of points early in the game.

I did not watch this game, but looking over the box score some numbers look really ugly.

In particular, Love, Brewer and Telfair.

Love shot 1-10 and in 24 minutes had a +/- of -19! Ouch.

Brewer shot 1-7 and in 22 minutes had a +/- of -14! And he did not attempt a free throw. Ouch!

Telfair shot 0-1 and in 8 minutes had a +/- of -8! Ouch.

Hopefully this is just one bad game, but as Mayo continues to impress this preseason, I'm beginning to get worried, albeit prematurely.

did they finish the game too, because we got 9 points again in the 4th quarter

9 points in 2 separate quarters of the same game is grounds for across the board beatings. I hope Tatum Bell steals all their luggage.

I agree that some flogging is in order. I didn't watch the game so I don't know if they were in together in the fourth or not (I assume not) and those two were certainly not the only players with no offense last night so I'm not blaming the lose on them.

That starting five just strikes me as particularly bad. Madsen's man is going to double Al every time. Without someone at SF that would at least keep his defender honest, Miller will get double teamed as well. It just makes it very difficult to get an offensive flow going early on. After that you are playing catch-up the rest of the game.
