OT: Around the NBA (news about other teams)

Post#1 » by revprodeji » Wed Oct 29, 2008 12:52 pm

Lets us this thread to discuss news about other teams. Anything major can have its own thread, but we can keep minor wiretaps here.

1.) Al Harrington wants to be traded. Is Shrink freaking out?

2.) Oden injuried in his first game.

IDK. Last I saw he is locked up in the basement with the lights off and a bottle of scotch. Shaking and wetting himself in the corner.

LOL!
But yea i do find it sad for Oden that he got hurt in his first game after missing all of last season. He is just a 20 year old in a 40 year old body.

I don't want to read the game thread on the general board reading all these stupid comments about Oden being injury prone. he rolled his ankle. quite a regular injury if you ask me. nothing severe. plus he wanted to play in the second half which makes me believe he would have been able to play but the coaching staff didn't want to risk anything - which was a smart decision

Sprained foot is different than rolled ankle.

^ when I watched him getting injured I didn't know that he sprained his foot. I thought he just rolled his ankle.

Oden just can't catch a break.

Sure he can. He can break his hand, break his knee, break his foot....

Seriously, I hope he doesn't turn into Sam Bowie 2. I don't wish that on any player.

Thats a tough loss for Portland. Golden State had to learn the hard way last year that it may be too much trying to make the playoffs after a bad start to the season.

Eddy Curry for Al Harrington? Ick. Knicks jump on that immediately.

yea, could you imagine Eddy Curry in a Don Nelson system?

btw, the article says GS wants David lee, not curry.

Of course they want David Lee. He is a young big. But you dont get David Lee while only giving up Curry. IIRC during the Summer Lee's name was brought up for the likes of Ron Artest and Knicks fans and ultimately the FO wouldnt pull the trigger.

I just dont see them getting Lee, I also dont see Golden State taking on Curry just to get rid of Harrington.
