Interesting to see Love nominated with Miller and Al Jefferson.

This year's rookies, 1, 2, 3, and 5 are listed .. sorry Russell Westbrook, and not even a Gallinari nod from a big market! Think NYK will vote for Steph?

I hope Yi Jianlian doesn't get a spot this year now that he's on the ballot

Normally I would say that Al shouldn't be a contender for all-star at center - but against this year's competition he doesn't seem totally ridiculous.

If a person can say, "All Star .. Mehmet Okurrrrrrr!!" they can certainly call him "Al (Star) Jefferson."

Yao will be the starter. Thats the given. Competing for the second spot (an possibly a third) are:

Andris Biedrins: 17.3 rpg, 14.1 rpg
Andrew Bynum: 9.2 ppg, 8.8 rpg
Tyson Chandler: 9.2 ppg, 10.0 rpg
Chris Kaman: 13.1 ppg, 10.4 rpg
Al Jefferson: 21.7 ppg, 10.5 rpg

Clearly as of right now, the two leading the way are Biedrins and Jefferson (Tonight should tell a lot about both players). I'm surprised at the low numbers from the other three. In general, I could see coaches giving the edge to Biedrins over Jefferson because Golden State is "the better team".

So who did you guys vote for? My ballot looked like this:

West
Forwards - Amare Stoudemire, Tim Duncan
Guards - Chris Paul, Brandon Roy
Center - Al Jefferson

East
Forwards - Chris Bosh, Josh Smith
Guards - Jose Calderon, Joe Johnson
Center - Dwight Howard

Yeah, my votes were useless.

Al hasn't played like an All-Star this year yet.

I voted for him anyway. But it doesn't matter as I and others have said. Yao Ming is obviously going to get the most votes.

Even after Yao, I'd vote for Shaq and Biedrins are playing better at C in the West right now than Al.

22/11 isn't good enough for you?

Only 6 players are averaging 20/10 (7 if you include Chris Paul)

Dwight Howard, Carlos Boozer, Chris Bosh, Tim Duncan, Zach Randolph, an Al. Thats pretty good company if you ask me.
