Someone should run onto the court with a 'FIRE WITTMAN' sign, that would get some attention. Although Al might be protective and stick out an elbow  It would be pretty hard to escape unharmed as well.

I dont know. I think this just has to happen tomorrow. If we are playing well, then we can save it for the next rainy day.

From The StarTribune

Off to a 1-6 start that duplicates a season ago when they won 22 games, Timberwolves coach Randy Wittman was asked Thursday if he hears the clock ticking on his job in a business that ultimately measures everything in wins and losses.

"No, all you can do is prepare each day, that's all you can do," he said. "I'm not going to worry about that. I've been in this business 25 years. I know what you have to do to be successful and that's what I'm trying to do."

Wittman went on to say:

"I'm not down. We shouldn't be down. We should be mad at ourselves. We're not a 1-6 team, but that's the reality. We're not that far from being 4-3. This team will be better than a 20-win team. ... I really think this team is not that far from turning things in a positive direction."

Actually Randy, you're a lot closer to being 0-7.

I'm tired of people throwing out could have been records. After a certain point, that gets old. We drop 6 in a row, there is no excuse. We dropped the ball and aren't getting it done, plain and simple.

This game wouldn't exist without fan support. The ownership has stressed patience but if their product is not pleasing their fanbase they have to make a move. We do have some young immature talent which may be contributing to making the coach a scapegoat, but the coach has to work with the players he has to produce the best possible outcomes. The losses to Golden State and Sac-Town were inexcusable, Whitman must learn to the utilize talent we have. If the fans, by majority, feel he is unable to utilize his talent to win games they NEED to let it be known. That is the beauty of this country and of the business of basketball, the people/fans matter just as much or more than the players. If we the fans believe he needs to go we NEED to let it be heard, cuz without us their nothing.

For me it has less to do with the record and more about his lack of motivation/player development and inability to run an offense with several weapons. That, and the atrocious rotation patterns,

However, the 2 go hand in hand. If he had a clue for to play an up tempo halfcourt game and involve a top NBA shooter, we probably would have a couple more wins.

To address Shrink's pole-in-the-butt comment (no offense, but lighten up), let me just say this. Say I am an accountant and I am handling the books of a multi-million dollar company. I periodically make basic formula mistakes and constantly produce incorrect results. Though I wouldnt expect someone to come in and shout "Fire WW," I certainly would expect to eventually be held accountable for those mistakes. For the sake of redundancy, lets NOT continue discussing this analogy.

If it is a public company then the stock owners could protest and cause you to lose your job. In the same way, ticket holders should hold some power.

btw, WW is a girl, looks a lil like Katy perry.

I'll be there Saturday. When I hear the chant, I will most definitely join in, if we're getting curbstomped, which will happen

Great, that dopey song will be stuck in my head all day now. Thanks 4ho.

I will be chanting from my living room in Chicago. It will amount to the same thing (I don't think McHale or Taylor care what the fans think of Wittman's performance) but it feels good, and I won't knock anything that feels good during a 1-6 start.

Our fans are boring. Started a Fire Wittman chant at the end there. Not much luck. More pissed that Love was posting up on Steve Blake and didnt go strong to the hoop. That was simply insane

Not as insane as the announcers calling McCants "Brian" again. I almost threw my soda at the tv.

I yelled Fire Wittman 3 or 4 times. Got a few claps to go along with it but not much yelling.

I did help vent with another wolves fan that trading Roy for Foye was dumb and how Kevin Love was borderline useless yesteday. Mayo would've helped a lot.
