Yes, Brewer has improved from last year on offense, but the fact is he was so bad last year it would be nearly impossible not to improve on that. People talk about his increased shooting percentages, but he's still shooting under 40% from the field and under 30% from 3point range. Those are not good numbers, especially when he only averages 6 ppg. His PER is at 9 right now. Now, I know that one of the main reasons why Brewer is well liked is because of his defense and the little things that don't show up on stat sheets, but it wouldn't hurt to put in Carney for a little bit. We need to know what we have in him, the two players are pretty similar and I think Carney has more upside.

Carney is not a similar player. Carney has a very low BBIQ. Brewer actual has a good awareness when his confidence is up. We have seen him on a couple occasions make a good passing play to set a post guy up.

Carney is not the defender brewer is. Carney is inconsistent with defense and mediocre at best.

regardless, it'd still be a good idea to give him a shot with some good minutes just to see what transpires. He played the most minutes of the year in that first game against Sacramento and we WON! Coincidence? NO!

When Al is sitting, I'd love to see some Love-Smith-Miller-Carney-Telfair and tell them to run, run, run.

Mccant's could come in for all of them and play a one on 5 fast break offense.

That would be Wittmans worse nightmare. Imagine how many times McCants would get the ball stolen from him while dribbling behind his back if he had five players around him compared to the usual two or three players that are right next to him when he tries it.
