The trade ended up being Cardinal and Love for Mayo

I went to this game and here are the things I noticed

The Miami Heat should never lose a game the way the Refs where giving calls to Wade tonight, complete crap. He had 2 fouls the entire game, and he was mugging Randy for about 6 minutes straight.

Randy Foye is starting to be what we thaught he would be at the beginning of the season and more. If the refs would have actually called fouls on the Miami Heat, Randy might have had about 100 points last night.

Big Al really needs to work on his D this summer.

On first and 10 this morning Steven A Smith and Skip both gave Foye props on his game last night while talking about D wade, saying Foye's starting to show signs of become a really good player in the league.

1.) Al and Miller struggled bad. That was obvious.

2.) Waaaay too many turnovers in the first half

3.) D-whistle gets too many reputation calls, but the player he faces will get nothing. In a close game that hurts.

Remember that phantom foul that Foye got called for on Wade's 3pt attempt?...remember that time we lost the game by 3 points? I mean, that's ignoring every other error in reffing judgment. Wade is an absolutely jaw-dropping player, but the refs make him even better. I can think of another player in the league that gets calls like Wade.

Hmm, were people complaining about the calls Wade was getting when he only had 2 points scored in (the 1 and 1/2 quarters of) the second half or when the Wolves were up by 13?

It just doesn't seem fair, only complaining when he (obviously) raised his level and became more aggressive in the 4th quarter.

Unfair? LOL!

Imaginary fouls are unfair no matter when they come.

Absolutely. But does that one play make it excusable to give the officiating all of the credit for this loss?

Well that's just obvious common sense stuff. No ref this side of Tim Donaghy is going to give a player calls while they are passively moving the ball. There's just no way to do it. Don't even try to pretend Wade doesn't get the most favorable calls in the league. What single player has been complained about in the headlines more than any other player as far as calls and non-calls go? EASILY Dwyane Wade. Though mostly you hear about his traveling. There were 2 CLEAR CUT anticipation whistles rather than actual fouls that I can think of. The one I've already brought up a couple times where Foye avoided ALL contact with Wade on the 3pt line, but because Wade wanted contact, the refs decided to be his little bitch and give him the free throws. There was another where Carney stripped Wade clean and the refs blew the whistle, but when they realized that Carney had not committed a foul that called it an "inadvertent whistle" and jumped it up when Minny had clear possession. Carney won the jump, so it turned out fine, but they saw Wade get stripped and just reflexively blew the whistle...Wade gets way more calls than LeBron or Kobe. Don't get me wrong, Wade is an absolutely amazing basketball player, one of the very best of the best, but the calls he gets are just painful sometimes. Look, Wade's on your team, just take it and enjoy the favorable calls. I would sure as hell love it if Foye got those.

Meh. Players that drive aggressively to the basket get more calls than jump shooters. Superstars get more calls. Superstars that drive, like Wade, get a lot of calls. It's not fair or right but it is the way it is and it has been this way for a long time, nothing new. When the Wolves get a good player that plays like that, they will get more calls, too.

DWade's calls didn't lose the game.

Maybe i missed the post, but i dont remember anyone saying that we lost solely because of the ref's. Several posters mentioned that the FT differential, bad D, good D by Miami, shot selection, late turnovers and just a young team making mistakes that young teams make had more to do with it than Wade getting or not getting calls.

We know the refs didnt give this one to Miami, Miami took it from us when it seemed like it was ours, but lets not pretend that Wade isnt benefited from superstar calls

There is more than just one reason the wolves lost this game

Rebounding and Interior Defense

Turnovers late in the game

Big Al's off night

DWades superstar calls

I'll put that superstar calls last becuase they shouldn't be an excuse to lose a game, since we know from the very beginning he is gonna get those calls. But If you erase any one of those on that list, and we probably win that game, since it was so close down the stretch
