Mid -Season Player Grades
Now that we're at the mid way point of the season, what grades would you give each player based on their play and give a description.

Re: Mid -Season Player Grades
Telfair C+ (can be good, can be bad, and it can happen in the same quarter)
Foye C+ or B- (depends upon the curve)
Miller D (expected much more, especially shooting, also didn't expect the injuries)
Jefferson B+ (improved decision making and continued def. improvement will make this an A)
Smith B
Gomes B- or C+ (expected more, but has been fairly consistent)
Love A- (low expectations and he has far exceeded anything I hoped he could provide)
Carney A- (deserves more time and has played better than anticipated at the beginning)
Collins D- (expected more/something)
Cardinal B- (expected nothing, have a little bit more than nothing)
McCants Expelled (big hopes once season started, now wish again he had been traded last offseason)
Ollie C+ (better than expected, but took minutes and is injured)

Re: Mid -Season Player Grades
Telfair C+ usually takes care of the ball but lately has had the need to match basket for basket when he gets schooled - that is when he tries to do too much. Needs to work on his shooting.
Foye @ PG grade D+ at the SG grade B
Miller C- he adds hustle, rebounds and assists otherwise it would be a D. He'll get a B when his shot starts dropping on a consistent basis
Carney B love his defense and hustle - needs to settle down a little in 3 on 2 or 3 on 3 breaks
McCants F
Gomes B- Solid player doing what we expect.
Cardinal B we expected nothing and have gotten a player who has helped Love tremendously with the ins and outs of the NBA and he has been another constant on our second unit.
Smith C+ Craig still takes too many shots against the "trees" and expects the foul calls.
Madsen no grade he is a good locker room presence that takes care of the Union crap that we don't need a regular player worrying about and does not bitch about playing time or lack of it.
Collins D- at least he claps for his teammates unlike selfish Rashad
Love B Kevin's rebounding is great and he has worked on powering through the constant blocks of earlier this season. He is starting to hit his outside shot too.
Jefferson B+ Double/Double + some defense this year. Still needs to work on that though. Has extended his shooting range a little too.

I've been a fan since the beginning and I will be until my end.

Re: Mid -Season Player Grades
Telfair B He has done more then expected of him this year. He still has a ways to go...
Foye D, C, B in order of months
Miller D- He has provided things other than scoring but his scoring contribution has been a failure!
Jefferson B He needs to improve on defense and passing
Smith B Shoots a high percentage won a couple game for us!
Gomes B- needs to be more consistant
Love B+ Showing some range as of recent, just needs to play with confidence on the offensive end.
Carney A Where did this guy come from! Fast, 3 point range hope he can stick around and handle a bigger role in the future.
Collins D nothing to talk about
Cardinal C+ would be a B if he stopped chucking up the 3 ball, great energy off the bench
McCants F I blame wit for letting him play and take bad shots.
Ollie C+ Got the winning started, good veteran influence.

Re: Mid -Season Player Grades
Jefferson = A. When you do the things on the court that Al does, there is no way you can drop below an A. If Al is an A-, then only like 5 people in the NBA can have an A. 20 pts 10 rebounds every night, plus he's one of the best shot blockers. Gotta love what this guy has done for us MN folks.
Miller = D. Highly disappointed with Miller. He is afraid to shoot, so he is a liability, and when he does shoot, he can't hit.
McCants = F-. He's a goner.
Telfair = C. Much improvement over Telfair, and he's filling the starter role nicely. If he could just learn to finish at the rim and hit that jumper consistently...
Foye = B. The Roy trade was tough, but Foye has given us enough to where we can forget about it.
Brewer = INC.
Madsen = INC.
Collins = F+
Cardinal = D+
Love = B+. This guy has kept us in so many games. Everytime I watch the Wolves, I hear the announcers say that Jefferson was the reason we won, and the station gives big al player of the game, but I many times disagree. Love makes huge plays down the stretch, and there is no chance in hell, NONE, that Mayo will be better than Love.
Gomes = B-. A little inconsistent, but still playing great.
Smith = B-. Also inconsistent, but great offensively.
