If we got lucky enough to draft Rubio and then traded for Hinrich and played Rubio behind him, I think I would lose all faith in the T-Wolves and quit watching NBA ball altogether.

being that he is a 19 yr old euro pg it would be understandable if he is in a mentorship role for a couple months. Hinrich is perfect for that.

So you wouldn't mind trading away 10 million dollars worth of cap space for a guy who would be a mentor for a few months and a small minute backup for 3 years after that?

I think a back-up pg that would be a leader and the 3rd wheel of a backcourt rotation is a good thing to have. Not a "must have" but a nice thing. With rubio, of course, he would not start for long. If we drafted a Jennings/Holiday/Evans/Maynor type then he would likely start all year.

That was the reasoning, yes. Of course Rubio would start as soon as he was ready.

Glad you found the only part of my plan that was unrealistic! =)
