If McGrady can get healthy, he may have a lot more trade value at the 2010 trade deadline than the three headed Cardinal/Miller/Madsen.

Depending on who we draft, I would probably support your trade.

I think a 20m+ contract has far less trade value. It's harder to match up contracts within range. Much easier to make a trade with 9 + 2 + 7 which would allow mn to trade for players anywhere in the range of 8m-22m due to the ability to mix and match in size, TMacs huge expiring can only get contracts back in the 18-23m.

call me nuts.

We get the #3 pick in the draft. We trade the pick and expiring for Beasley and a bad contract. The Miami coach has a inconsistent role for Beasley and wants defense. Miami could draft Thebeast with the pick

The Heat don't really have many bad contracts, maybe Beasley/Jones for #3/Miller?

but what do you want to do after we got Beasley? start him at 4? trade Love or Al? because from what I've read here on RGM Beasley only plays as a PF

Hmmm, not just another undersized PF, that cannot play the 3. I'd rather stick to Plan A and go for a proven small forward, that gives this team another shooter from outside, some athleticism and decent defense (hmmm pretty much reminds me of someone who's already part of our roster atm :D )...

Beasley would only make sense if a third team is involved or if we trade beasley to another team afterwards.

I would be making a move for Beasley based on the SF potential that many of you constantly threw at me last year. I was told constantly he was a SF prospect. If he is not then there is no point in the above trade.
