Pekovic is #3 ahead of Ibaka, Navarro, Delfino, Koponen, Harden and others mentioned fondly here.

Pekovic is a good player,

read some of that.

Their descriptions of Pekovic in that thread make him sound like a poor mans Jefferson.

Seeing Josh Childress' name makes me think. I know he has outs every year in his contract, is he coming back this offseason? I doubt he heads back to ATL, would be be interested in some kind of sign and trade? Brewer plus filler for a signed Childress maybe...or is it better to wait and see what you have with Brewer.

Childress had some injury issues this year, so I am not sure what he is planning to do. I also have a brewer fetish so I dislike the trade. :D

I don't doubt Pekovic is a good player, it's just that his skill set is very similar to Jefferson. I'd actually entertain trading Big Al for a star-level 1-2-3 and have Peks and Love as my frontcourt. That could be an interesting team.

What is wrong with having a similar player that can play with Al or when Al is out?

Why does it not surprise me that the majority of those players are Centers?

I don't give much on this list since the majority of these players might never come over (again) but it is certainly nice to see that Pekovic is ranked 3.

Meh, every time I've seen him play he's been mediocre.

I would hope he is ranked higher than JCN and Delfino.
I still wish the Wolves would trade for the rights to Ilyasova or offer him a deal this summer when the Bucks will not match.

Nothing I suppose. I'd be more geeked about it if they played defense, though. I think Love can play the high post next to either Peks or Al. I just don't know how well two low post scorers will fit next to each other. Maybe it would be fine, IDK.

I'm just really liking the idea of getting a diverse lineup - some shooters, some post scorers, some slashers, some defensive guys, some athletes - so we can throw different combos out there to mess with other teams. And I was throwing Al out as trade bait because he can fetch an allstar guard or SF in return. Just trying to think external to the cube.

Is that a reflection of your scouting, or his skills..:D

btw, my hope for PEkovic is likely embraced in trading him in a package for another player. Something along the lines of a S/t Pek+cardinal for Marvin Williams. Or something of that sort.

Tough to say. But I feel like I know more about him now that I've actually seen him play a few games, rather than relying on highlights and what other people say.
