joke is on you. Wright would not practice, or pay attention when learning the plays. He would then just free lance, utterly dominate in a Camby/Knicks crica 2001 style until he broke his funny bone and had to retire to write poems with Ebi.

Over on the Trade Board, the Warriors have one of the most educated posters of any NBA team. However, I occasionally point out that they are probably the worst of all 30 teams in over-valueing their youth. That's not a small thing, with the way most teams over-value their youth. ivang here is not an exception .. note that this says Randolph is the future of "the league" not the future of "the warriors." For many of you that don't requent the Trade Board, you'll remember how we heard time and again how great Patrick O'Bryant was, despite all the evidence to the contrary, and Ike Diogu was often given major accolades by these posters, trumpeting both as having such tremendous potential they were sure-fire All Stars. We used to hear this level of extremity over Brandan Wright as well, even when he was in the D-League.

That said, ivang may be right about Randolph. Warriors fans are unanimous in how much they like they kid. He is certainly their top young player, but "Future All Star" or "future of the league..." its hard for me to see this in a real front office. It doesn't mean they'd trade him though.

As to this trade, it'd probably be laughed at on the trade board from the rank and file. In an unbiased poll a few months ago, Al Jefferson was viewed as one of the Top 15 players in the league in trade value, and Biedrins didn't make the Top 25. I feel that the Wolves have so much depth, that they don't need to do many trades where they get the worse player. However, once we get the 1st pick and Blake Griffin, I'd entertain trade offers for Al Jefferson, but they better be big. Trading up at the far end of the bell-shaped curve is going to be extreme, particularly when you want another team's #1 guy. I'd say you'd be talking Biedrins + pick + Wright before the Wolves marketing department would really start listening.

Again just to point out i think randolph is a good player, shows flashes of greatness. Im just saying the Warrior's organization is in love with him and the FO won't give him up for nothing, especially if your tryin to package him with AB who they love more. This isnt my personal opinion I'm just trying to make a trade that I could see the Warriors throwing out there.

front office personal attachment does not equal value. Jefferson simply has much more value than Ab and only in adding Randolph could we start discussion. Likely we would still refuse. Jefferson's value with his age, contract, and rare skill set make him a highly valued piece.

You may be right about the Warriors front office, and I don't want to dismiss that.

I'm just saying we've heard this level of hype from the Warriors fans a half dozen times in the last four years, so I'm just saying that's why you see the skepticism at RealGM that you do.

I have no interest in trading Al Jefferson for virtually anything. I love his skill set and I believe it's something that it impossible to replace.

David West type players are a dime a dozen, but Al Jefferson brings a dominating skill set that is impossible to defend. He is a good guy, has the fire in him that I love and is someone who maybe will only get better despite his injury. I'd trade him for a proven #1 option, but most of those people are not available in trade. I'm not trading him for a package of what-ifs. Biedrens is alright. Randolph is so hyped, but I'm not interested.

Yeah, if we were going to trade our 'face of the franchise' it would only be for another young all star caliber player or some VERY good draft picks. We did give up a fairly decent player for Jefferson.
