This is EXACTLY what I see in Harden too rev. Like you've said many times it all depends on his true measurements. Right now for me it's Evans, Derozan, Harden but if Harden turns out to be 6'5"+ then he moves into either the 1st or second spot for me. It's really too close to call right now.

Derozan reminds me more of Pierce. Harden tends to take spot up jumpers or go all the way to the basket. Derozan has the size and that two dribble and shoot mid-range game. Derozan is also from Compton and Pierce from Inglewood.

Which one could take a stabbing better, Harden or DeRozan? That's the true test of who's more like PP. My money's on DeRozan.

I definitely agree. The urologist, as you call him, definitely gives off a preppy vibe. I have serious issues with any player that wears a t-shirt under his jersey. Can we make a list of great college prospects that sported the under shirt? I'm thinking it can't be good.

Under armor like Flynn would not count in this case, b/c there he's showing off his guns.

Ed Davis wear's a t-shirt, and it's kind of a tight one. LeBron wore one in high school, but he was a HORRIBLE college prospect. :-)

Personally, when I play, I can't stand wearing a t-shirt because it feels weird when I shoot. I play much better in a sleeveless or a regular jersey.

Although I've noticed I get less respect when I wear the t-shirt, and thus it's easier to take advantage of lazy players, or if we're picking teams with captains, and I'm playing with guys I've never met before, I get picked last, and the worst guy on the other team defends me, then I tear him apart. I'm like Billy Hoyle. So I can't totally knock the t-shirt.

I think the fact that Flying Boobies is from Compton automatically gives him the nod there. He's probably stabbed some people already, it must have been tough growing up in a bad neighborhood with a nickname like Flying Boobies.

I don't understand the Evans hype as much. He seems like his game is straight up inconsistent. He can be a superstar some nights and be a nobody the other. We already have someone like that in Foye. He also doesn't seem to have a great first step and I have a feeling his handle is gonna be less elusive to real defenders in this league. If your looking for the best rookie, go Evans...but If you want the best player then DD is the way to go.

I say we take Derozan, Harden, Evans in that order.

I agree. I also don't think Evans will play point guard in the NBA, or be a primary ballhandler either, which is the only reason I would take him above those two.

At first glance I thought it was Rondo.

I'm not sold on Derozan. If we were picking in the latter half of the top ten (7-10) I wouldn't mind taking the risk. But since we're probably going to be top 5, I have to go with Harden or Evans. Both have shown more at the college level. Derozan reminds me of Iggy from Philly. Amazing athlete, but raw. Decent jumper, questionable handle. Does anyone get the feeling that he's "too coachable"? Like, he's willing to do whatever the coach asks, which stunts his development. If the coach asks him to guard the other team's best perimeter player and score 15 ppg and grab a handful of rebounds, that is all he's going to do. I want to see a little more selfishness in him to show me that he wants to be the best he can be, not the best at what the coach asks him to be.

BTW, I hate how DX uses the "older than peers" as a weakness for players when they are actually the normal age for their class. You're 19 as a freshman, 20 as a sophomore, etc. Some sophomores turn 20 before others but honestly, does 3-4 months really make a difference?

Can we change the name of this thread to "Harden (f)or Derozan?"

Harden and its not even close, Harden has the skills we need. If hes 6'4" or bigger we take him
"That's why the last two years weren't guaranteed," Walsh said. "Either way, he knew it could have happened either way."
