Theo Ratliff anyone?
In the event that we do not retain Shelden Williams and we do not address our 5 spot very well this season, would anyone be open to brining Theo back as a veteran mentor and reserve bigman for the season. We saw how much Al benefited from Theo's presence the half season they played together and in spot minutes Theo can still do some good things. He kills Jason Collins defensively. what if we do wind up with a player like Thabeet, do you think Theo could be a good mentor? If we can sign him to a cheap one year deal is that something you guys would consider?

I doubt Theo would sign here. He would sign with a contender instead.

Re: Theo Ratliff anyone?
I don't know - we paid him like 11-12 million to sit on the bench for the year, and when he got healthy enough to play, we released him so he had a chance for a championship with Detroit. You could argue that he owes us, and that he should love to come and play for us.
I've always been a big Theo fan from back in the days of his first go around with Phili. Not sure if he's worth bringing in now though?

Depends on the money. He is a good fit, and i think he has had time to recover, so hopefully he still has something left in the tank, but it all depends on what he is asking

I think most people would take him for the minimum if we have a roster spot

No chance he comes to a rebuilding team, especially at his age.

I thought Theo Ratliff was basically a giant basketball player mannequin at this stage, used simply for salary cap purposes; you're saying he's a real boy?

OJ Mayo is one of the best defenders in the league, hes a two way player and hes a great passer and playmaker.

After the way he walked out on the 76ers at the end of the season, I say pass.

The Sixers are jackass clowns they deserved it. He wouldn't do that to us.
