That's fine, but will you at least admit the mistakes he did make?

Does anybody else want to argue about T'Wolves Billups being no better than Telfair, and San Antonio just getting lucky?

If so, I'll be here all day!

Thank you.

I think what's been missed here amidst the silliness is the interrelationships of the players on each team. Now, Parker and Ginobli might have developed into good or great players without Duncan. But there's no doubt that Duncan's presence on the floor helped their games, and his leadership and presence made the Spurs locker room and organization more sound (just as Duncan had the "old heads" of Robinson, Avery Johnson and Sean Elliot when he began his NBA career.)

The saddest thing about that article was that it looks to me, in light of the Spurs example, like the Wolves were beginning to bulid a culture like that - Mitchell, Brandon, Sealy, Terry Porter, all those guys were good pros, and KG had all-world talent to boot. But it just never came together, which wasn't McHale's fault.

My biggest problem with McHale was the band-aid stuff: Spree and Sam were short-term solutions, both in their 30's when the Wolves traded for them. What was the plan long-term? Jaric, Griffin, Mike James - they were all reaches, guys whose reputation and/or talent outstripped their performance.

The KG trade was the culmination - you should never be forced to trade a player of that caliber, but because of all the short-sighted deals McHale did after the Wally/Brandon/KG teams, they were forced to. That's when he should have been sent packing IMO, even though we got Jefferson back in the exchange.

Ah, Malik Sealy. He would have been really good.
