What's updog?

Gosh, it's like playing wingman at the bar and getting stuck with the fat friend.

I know, I'm such a dick!

OJ Mayo is one of the best defenders in the league, hes a two way player and hes a great passer and playmaker.

But it's pretty unlikely that we would sign anybody this summer, which is the only scenario where this would happen.

QFT. The 28th pick is too low to waste cap space on for a scrub like Madsen. Particularly after Miles went back on the books, ever last penny of cap space is going to be at a premium for the Blazers.

That pick is even less valuable to the Blazers when you consider that Portland owns the 32nd pick in the draft. That's only 4 spots lower and it's a non-guaranteed. The talent disparity between the 28th and 32nd pick will be indistinguishable.

I think that's right. I was trying to meet farzi's request, and as a frequent, I just assumed it was their goal. I agree with the other posters that I don't think it makes sense for POR to try to buy a late 1st, especually using a TPE to do it.
