Dwyane Casey: Pros/Cons

Post#1 » by Dedicated_76ers_fan » Tue May 19, 2009 5:41 am

The sexy guy that's coming is Thibodeau for the Sixers, but also being interviewed either on the same day or in the following week/weeks is Dwyane Casey. Former head coach of the Minnesota Timberwolves. What were the strengths of Dwyane Casey, Did he improve the players while he was here? What were his offensive/defensive philosophies and ultimately how would you grade Casey?

In a nutshell, his best characteristic, in my opinion, was that he stressed defense.

However, he had trouble with rotations and monitoring minutes, but I think it was his first head coach gig.

Shrink hit it on the head. and i was happy to read he is getting consideration. I thought he was good for the young pups and not only stressed defense but also hard work and effort.

I should also add, he seems like a decent, hard-working guy.

In retrospect he did pretty well with the (lack of) talent he had at hand.
