Want heart break? My brother was officially diagnosed with skin cancer before the draft lotto.

I am dead serious. We find out more in the next couple days.

I guess the big picture makes us realize that sports is just sports.

Sorry to hear about your brother. If it helps, the same just happened to one of my friends, and she had the chunk of skin scooped up, and it appears she'll be fine. Apparently some forms of skin cancer, even malignancies, spread so slowly that they are often caught and treated in time.

He has it in 13 spots. Either stage 2 or 3. We should find out in the next couple days. He will need Chemo. I had stage 1 in 1 spot when I was 14, but it was removed and I am fine. But his is spread pretty bad. He is 22.

I am sorry to hear that. Skin cancer is very often benign, so hopefully he'll be okay. I wish him well.

thanks. He is kind of a stoic personality. Construction/roofing guy. 22 yrs old with a 4 yr old daughter. Hopefully I know more tomorrow. I am completely shell shocked right now. Clearly in denial. The school I teach at has a bunch of graduation stuff tomorrow so I cant really stay home. Kind of a tough spot.
