Who do you guys like at 45 & 47?
I like Danny Green, Damion James, Jerel McNeal and Alade Aminu. DeMarre Carroll maybe, but I can't really see him giving us too much that Ryan Gomes doesn't already. Otherwise, maybe take a couple Euros and stash them. Anyone actually watch games of Norel/de Colo/Preldzic/Ingles/Llull?

Re: Who do you guys like at 45 & 47?
Big my list is similar to yours. I have seen a little of Llull, I do not see him doing much more than being a spot up shooter, but as a 45-47 it could be possible.
I guess it all comes back to our vision. Are we looking to package for a trade? Are we trying to score a homerun with the 2nd rd picks thus we gamble? Are we looking for someone who could play in the rotation?
Lately I have been big on Aminu. Athletic 6'10 with a 7'3 wingspan and defensive p-n-r experience. He fits the profile of the type of player we would want with Love and Jefferson. I could see him jumping up the draft into the mid 30 range.
James had a great combine and is likely late 1st-early 30
Danny Green same thing.
McNeal is a gamble someone is going to love. He can shoot, is athletic and loves defense. But he is a SG stuck in a pg body. An uber Boobie perhaps?

I think that we will either draft a couple of Euro's to stash, or they will be traded for either future picks or cash.

I like Danny Green in the second round I think he could be a steal.

Re: Who do you guys like at 45 & 47?
Everybody knows about my man crush on Jerel McNeal. I agree with Rev on Damion James. (I have a hard time believing a player with James' length, athleticism and physical nature won't be a rotation regular in the NBA 5 years from now...)
Giving the mocks a cursory glance, it appears there will be quite a few solid prospects available in the second round. Here are a few more of my favs, players I feel are legit first round prospects
Derrick Brown, if he's there. Brown's combine was some kind of impressive, and could easily be a Shawn Marion/Trevor Ariza type power wing if a team can get him to buy into the idea. I really don't see him being around in the second round, but you never know...
Tyler Smith. Once again, this is the type of player that is going to make it. I don't know if he'll ever be anything special, but he's got all the physical tools to play in the NBA and has improved his on court mentality quite a bit over the last few years.
Jeff Pendergraph. Extremely effective at Arizona State, decent measurements and a refined all-around game. You have to give a player like this a shot...
Greivis Vasquez. If he stays in, its probably a mistake for him. But in 3 years, he's probably a steal for whoever takes him. I like Vasquez just as much/more than Calathes - he has the perfect journeyman's mentality, and would literally bite your ear off (Tyson style) to make a roster.
Robert Dozier. Didn't put up gaudy numbers at Memphis, but make no mistake about it - Dozier is one heck of a player. One of the true secrets of the 2009 draft could be the dramatic improvement he has made since everybody last saw him in the 2008 championship game. He's 6'10, an above average athlete, reasonably skilled and more willing to play down low than he was in the past.

Re: Who do you guys like at 45 & 47?
Only problem is we don't have the roster spots to sign these guys. I guess we could let them develop for a year either overseas or in the D-League before signing them; but I think it would be far more likely that we would trade the 2009 picks for 2010 2nd rounders since that draft is supposedly deeper anyway.
Actually I wouldn't mind taking Casspi or Beaubois at #28 and keeping one of our 2nds with the team.
I do like Danny Green as well.
Someone mentioned Derrick Brown and he is someone that I wouldn't mind drafting and signing in 2010 or damion james would work as well (after Craig Smith leaves).
I doubt he is anywhere near our pick (but I would trade both picks to get him) and that's Patrick Mills (even if we get a PG in the 1st).
I don't know much about them, but I'd take Milan Macvan, Sergio Llull, Victor Claver, or Jonas Jerebko if they were available just from the few things that I've read about them.
I kind of like Dionte Christmas, I think he would be a solid bench player.
If for some reason we don't draft a PG in the 1st, I'd be all for AJ Price or Toney Douglas

I actually like Daniel Hacket. Not sure if he'll even get drafted, but he would make a nice big guard off the bench.
I also like the potential of Beaubois (sp?).
I read somewhere that James was getting owned in workouts. Anybody else here that?
Taj Gibson and Aminu are bigs I wouldn't mind developing.

Re: Who do you guys like at 45 & 47?
skorff - I don't think there's a chance that Claver makes it to our picks anyway, idk about the others. If we got him, though, I'd love it.
Jonathan Watters - I agree about Dozier, Smith and Pendergraph. I haven't seen enough of Vasquez or Brown to comment (though Brown does sound enticing in the 2nd). I don't know that Pendergraph brings anything that our bigs don't already have, but at that point in the draft, if you can get a productive player of any sort - you grab them. He could be a good back up and make someone else expendable as a trade asset. Who knows. Dozier is a bit different than the bigs on our roster with better perimeter skills and a bit more of a spring in his step, which would be a nice change of pace. Yeah, a lot of the same reasons for Damion James apply to Tyler Smith as well - as far as physical tools anyway.

Jerel McNeal could potentially be another Gilbert Arenas. He's worth picking just because of that alone. I really like Taj Gibson too ... his wingspan is incredible and he was consistently good his whole career at USC. I also really like Darren Collison ... might be a nice PG in the pros. He seems to play better with better players around him, which is usually the case for a PG however his margin of betterment is seemingly off the charts.

If we want Collison, I think it would probably be at 28...which is fine. Though I still like Sam Young there depending on how the draft turns out.

Ingles is a 6'8 sf
strengths
good passer
can play pg,sg,sf
Huge wingspan
decent upside probley would of went higher if it wasnt for the coach
good 1 on 1 player
he also the type that can get you stats on ever catagory
weaknesses
the 3 ball
inconsistant
relies to much on hes jumper
doesnt use hes strength enough (may have been the coaches fault, coach likes hes players to use the 3 lots)
teams supporting
NBA-Minnesota t-wolves
NHL-Toronto Mapleleafs
NFL-Miami Dolphins
MLB-???
Others:Wests Tigers,Leeds United,Schalke,VVV,Sydney Kings,Tatsuma Ito

Other than the super-Euros I've mentioned previously, I like Vasquez and Tyler Smith.

I think we are going to have to trade or go the Euro route. Their just aren't enough roster spaces.
The PG's overseas are interesting. Many interesting college players should be around as well, but we just don't have the room right now.

I'd love Beabouis, Damion James, or Derrick Brown if they last that long. I think they all go much earlier then our 2nds. I'd be willing to use the 28th on any of these low risk, high reward athletic types.

Ooh, Beaboius if he's still there, which I doubt. I like him, or her, wait, she's a boy right?
