2 wolves draft day deals(bobcats&raptors involved)

Post#1 » by NewWolvesOrder » Thu Jun 18, 2009 9:02 pm

1) wolves draft Curry at #6

2) trade Foye & #18 for #9 and filler(too much value for raptors to pass up) . Then proceed to draft Gerald Henderson.

3) trade Cardinal(exp.con) & #28 for Diop & #12(Bobcats would love to unload Diop's contract and save some cash), Wolves draft E.Clark.

Curry/Henderson/Clark/Love/Jefferson.
Curry's shooting works with Big Al & Love. Henderson & Love provide length and defense on the perimeter, both are good slashers. Even Diop gives them what they need at a backup center position.

The only player we're adding there that I'd want is Clark.

OJ Mayo is one of the best defenders in the league, hes a two way player and hes a great passer and playmaker.

Can we have more trade proposals with the Blazers? Seriously, some of those guys are as bad as the standout Bulls posters.

Not a fan of Henderson at 9, not sure how I feel about Curry, Stephen. Clark wouldn't be a bad pick up in that range.

If we draft curry, I would love to be able do the washington trades and get our hands on Evans as well. I believe those two would make a great backcour tandem. I am not too high on Henderson. I would rather stick with Foye as sixth man.

I am down with the Diop deal and drafting Clark (who I am willing to give up on Foye for)

Jefferson / Diop
Love / Clark
Clark / Gomes
Evans / Brewer / Carney
Curry / Evans / Telfair

I didn't see the length and money we would be committing to a guy, who granted is a strong defender and blocks shots at a good rate, but that contract is just stupid. Much rather go for Dalembert.

Not a fan of any strategy that has us end up starting 3 rookies.

No to Diop! He is tied with beno udrih for worst contract in the league.
Foye may fit with raps because they need a SG, but they need defense at the position and foye offers none. I have a hard time seeing them slide down to 18.

Devilz is Harden your pick for this year? You sure had it right on Love.

I guess so, I liked Harden and Evans the entire year.

Last year I liked Beasley a lot and didn't like Westbrook at all though, so there you go.

Devilz, you wanted Love last year? I thought I was the only one who went to bed content on draft night(I went to bed late, like a cat).

I went to bed pissed because we had OJ Mayo, some Euro guy I never heard of, then patiently waited for Deandre Jordan, Bill Walker, Mario Chalmers, or something, then get the message the pick was traded.

I dig on Love, I even wasted money sponsoring his b-ball reference page to support my over exhuberance.

Yeah, I was pissed/perplexed about the second round, but I was happy about Love. I had pretty high hopes for him, and he surpassed those expectations. This year (knock on wood) I want to see him get his outlet passes going. He had a few beauties last year, but just as many interceptions. I think it's safe to say, so far at least, that True Love is the Brett Favre of outlet passing.

I didn't mind the 2nd round because I liked the (Mayo/Love) trade so much. But now after a season of Mike Miller annoying me with his lack or shooting and his strange way of wearing a head/hair band the 2nd round bothers me more. I have no problem at all with long hair but the way he wore that hair band made it seem like he wanted to look like a female. The whole is he a male or female thing wasn't helped by the fact that he got "hurt" every game. Are his bones are made of glass? Or is it just in his head?
