I like Harris too, but I really don't want to give up #5 AND #6.

If that was the case, at a minimum, they would have to take back Songalia's contract (we can still trade it for 24 hours, right?)

Hopefully, we could get it done with just using some combination of one of the #5/6 and something from Pekovic, Brewer, Smith, #18

There is way too much leaving the Wolves for this deal to happen. Even if #11 comes back I don't see how TWO picks in the top 6 of the draft is worth Harris. Give them 5 or 6, maybe Smith, help them out with some cap relief and call it a day.

I like Harris as a fit next to Jefferson. Putting shooters around a guy who doesn't pass out of double teams is silly, however getting a guy who can get his own shot (usually in the lane) from the perimeter would be a good idea.

A complicated three-way trade involving New Jersey, Minnesota and Memphis, which would send Devin Harris to Minnesota, the #5 and #6 picks to Memphis and Ricky Rubio and Craig Smith to New Jersey.

I could see giving up #5, #6, #18 and Love for Harris, Lopez and #11
We get Harris, Lopez and #11, Memphis gets #5 and #6 and NJ gets Love Rubio, and 18. That would be pretty good for us. A proven PG and a Proven Center. Then Al could play PF with gomes at SF and draft Williams or Henderson at 11. Killer team

Harris
Henderson
Gomes
Jefferson
Lopez

A little too much. Love is pretty close to Lopez, but 5, 6, and 18 is too much for Harris and 11.

I could live that deal and I think most others would agree, but 5/6 is too much potential for a young team. On the flip-side, I do see need to gradually add in some veteran presence and Harris/Lopez would be ideal. I'm not fully sold on the deal until I see how much it would help Jefferson by having a center/Lopez versus Love. The 11th pick softens the blow some as well.

Yeah i could see that. We could benefit a lot from having Lopez, Harris, Henderson. More so than having Love, Jennings, Evans

Lopez is only 21 and Harris is only 2 years older than Jefferson. That would be a young team with a whole lot of potential.

With Lopez in the mix that would be something to look at. But the question is if the Nets are trying to rebuild and they have Harris on a solid contract, why would they get rid of him and Lopez?

To take a look at it this way:

Harris>>>Rubio: Rubio might be great but Harris is a proven player that was an all-star last year.
Lopez>Love: Both are great players but I believe most of us agree most teams if they had their choice would pick Lopez.

So what is the benefit to the Nets here in this trade? Other then shedding roughly 3 million from Harris's contract, personally that is not a great incentive to move an allstar.
