PG: Flynn / Telfair / Brown
SG: Brewer / Ellington
SF: Gomes / Carney?
PF: Love / Smith / Songaila
C: Jefferson / Thomas / Pecherov

Rights to:
Ricky Rubio
Henk Norel

Draft Picks
Our own (if top 10)
Utah (Whatever the dumb protection is)
Charlotte (I think protected top 12, 10, 3, over the next 3 years)

I know this is just as of right now, but given the recoveries of Al J and Brewer, and the central roles for 2 rookies, and the lack of depth at SF/SG - this roster could be quite painful. They have to turn Rubio into something.

Everyone here needs to relax. Im sure Kahn did his homework. We got the top 2 guys on our board and everyone is in an uproar. Everything you are hearing thus far has been from Fegan, Rubio's agent, and not Rubio himself. Of course Fegan wants him in a bigger market. How'd the Yi situation turn out again? Mind you Rubio is a far better prospect/player than Yi.

Obviously there's no way that we're done here. So we can just wait and see what else we get done.

That roster isn't quite as bad as I had thought it would be. We need a wing scorer, badly, but we got time, right?

I'm excited about Henk Norel.

Kahn has a long term outlook. I don't think he expects to be competitive next year. Give him 16 months, and then he'll have his depth chart set. No SG and no SF next year? BIG DEAL. Look at DX's 2010 mock --- it's stacked with wings and we may have three picks. Be patient people. Let the man work his magic. He got us Rubio, and that's more than any o us could have imagined a week ago. In Kahn we trust.

+2

Breath...this wasn't meant to be settler last night. I feel we drafted a great face of the franchise that is marketable and dynamic 6th man that score and run point. Nate Robinson plus a few inches and actual pg skills.

I think the question you need to ask yourself is...

Can Ricky guards 2's better than Foye?
Can Flynn guard 1's better than Foye & Bassy?

I think both of those are yes. I also think there will be much less guard penetration.

Let Rubio run in transition and set the table in 1/2 court. Let Flynn do his thang in iso. Carney, Gomes, and Brewer will all operate a ton better alongside rubio. The roster isn't horrific imo. I would have prefered Evans or Harden, and I would have probably done a trade down with whomever is at 6, but if Flynn + Rubio can work defensively I'm all for it.

It's still a work in progress, but I like Rubio and Flynn. Can they play well together? Who knows? How well did Payton and Cassell do together in the back court in Milwaukee?

If we are looking at a 16 month plan we got 2 very good PGs in a draft that really only had PGs, so setting up for our wings next year makes sense. I do think someone is moved regardless.

I think Brewer could look much better with Rubio for sure. Ellington made 41.7% of his 3 pt attempts last year so I don't worry about him and Flynn scoring.
