Sixers fan here.The guy who started this thread has no ideea what he is talking about.You guys just drafted a future all-star pg.Ricky Rubio attracts a ton of haters because he is european.If he would be american he would be considered the next cp3.I really hope that your new GM will not be intimitated and trade Rubio to Knicks for their garbage.

Yeah I know nothing, yet I'm the same guy who said the same thing about Darko a few years ago when people were raving about him on other boards(not realgm obviously), and I said the same thing about him not to mention the big difference is cause I WATCHED those guys play. just bump this thread when rubio actually suits up in the NBA and you'll see everything I said will be true.
if he were american I would consider him just as big of garbage according to his play and stats.

as stated before I'd have posted this on any board he would end up going to, I got nothing against minnesota and hope the best for them, al jefferson is a beast and is vastly underrated, rubio on the other hand, is unbelievably overrated.

bottom line : flynn will be a solid NBA player and will be better than rubio will ever be. I'm done with this thread for now just letting everyone know that rubio is the goose egg and you'll see if he ends up playing this season. you guys will have a solid team in a few years as long as you keep building around al jefferson.

No way Rubio will be a bust! How I hate Grizz FO for pass him. And I don´t know what games have you been watching, but Rubio was 2 times in a row ACB 1 st team and is the actual ACB DPOY.

Rubio will be, at his prime (it will take about 2-3 yrs to reach) averaging 14ppg/14asts/6rebs/3stls with 45+% from FG, 35%+ 3pt and 85% from FT

I really like Rubio but 14 assists, 6 rebounds, 3 steals? LOL. There is no player in the world that can do that. Not even if you go back in time you will find something like that.

And how many players in the world can make a stat line of 52 pts, 24 rebs, 12 asts and 7 stls? Or average a triple-double in international level? Or lead his country to the Olympics final ate the age of 18? You guys must admit that you´re european haters, cause Rubio is a no brainer

they can't see past the fact that he speaks spanish, I think it's pretty similar to the chinese homers(like yi jianlian almost passing garnett in votes for the all star game).

BTW, here in Brazil we speak Portuguese and we know that there´s BBall outside US

As i said before, I really like Rubio and most spanish players proved to nba-ready talents so the euro risk doesn´t really apply. Still, as i said before. i am pretty sure no player in basketball history ever averaged 14 assists, 6 rebounds, 3 steals...

He actually led the ACB, the spanish league, in assists and steals. He was injured while his team played in the Euroleague, so he played with only one hand and thus only played 13 mpg or something like that.
But I'm pretty sure he also would have been among the leaders in the Euroleague. On a per-minute basis, I'm pretty sure he would have led in both categories.

And btw, I'm pretty sure you haven't seen even 3 games of Rubio (although you say you "WATCHED those guys play" - yeah sure you watched Darko when he played at Hemofarm when it probably wasn't even possible to watch games of them at that time via internet)
