QUOTE: alpha: "I wouldn't like it either but I wouldn't want a guy that didn't want to be there."

I'm too lazy to quote it for real but seriously, WHO SAID HE DOESN'T WANT TO BE IN MINNY????? If you're getting this from bogus reporters they're full of it. They're making stupid assumptions based off of nothing.

The only quote that has any relevance is when he states he wants minutes and was concerned about why the Wolves selected Flynn right after him. I don't blame the kid as he has a legitimate concern !!!!

Kahn knew this going in and I guess we need to assume he will make it all work out. Now that I'm getting over the trama, I'm starting to think I really want to see if it could actually work. He sure seemed excited when we got Flynn ... who knows. I'm tired of the haggling.
Flip response to Love wanting out, "He has no reason to be upset, you're either a part of the problem or a part of the solution"

Ya Dewey I'm with you on this. I actually want to keep both and see what happens. They were the two BPA in my mind and I can't be upset with that. Not to mention I think that in time we could mold these two to fit in the backcourt very well. If not, you trade one of them but it isn't a fail yet.

buyouts

Post#84 » by m2002brian » Sat Jun 27, 2009 12:30 am

Can someone explain to me how buyouts work? Why in soccer can the team buyout contracts or but the right to sign players? Yet is basketball the player himself must pay for his buyout?
I know a team can buyout players already under contract. Wouldn't this all be easier if TEAMS could buyout euro contracts? If all he wants is minutes he'll get them. I understand the feeling of either, I need all the control, or I don't want any of the control but he needs to loosen up. I understand he's 18, but maybe that's what he needs to understand. Personally I think if you're going to send him over to Euro for 1 more year, he might as well spend that year in the D-league at least then we can call him up (not sure if he still makes his NBA salary there either).

Crazy maybe, but at least I didn't say anything about trading him ;)

OTOH- Flynn has that charisma baby, that Micheal Ivin style going on. He's going to be a fan fav for as long as he's here. As long as he's here.

I read that his "handlers" said he did not want to play there. Nothing was mentioned about time or weather. I assume it is market size and the fact that he needs big endorsement money to help with his buyout. Personal feelings aside, thee is no question that a big market will bring much more endorsement money. Anyway, that is what I read in several different blogs by different sportswriters. If I can find the link, I'll post it if you wish.

In my humble opinion, you guys are a good SF away from being very good. I like Ellington and think he and Flynn will be great in a couple of years.
